JackieMoon
I agree. At first I loved the cannon jerseys. But, now they are just bleh. I'd like to see CBJ drop the current thirds and use the kepi crest as an alternate. Maybe new some different striping in the future, and drop them damn red pants. sportstar1212
I don't mind the Blue Jackets look, myself. The jerseys could use an actual hem stripe (as opposed to the current trim at the hem), but they're still fairly good. I actually really like the red breezers and I hope they don't change that. The thirds just follow the late-2000s/early-2010s trend of double blue, roundel logo, and vintage white. It's not a bad jersey, it just has copycat written all over it. Although, I've warmed up to them a bit since Pittsburgh and Florida dropped their similar looking thirds. Sport
There's four big problems I have with the idea of the Blue Jackets going to the alternates with a matching white set full-time:1. The Jets kinda bought navy blue and royal blue when they introduced their uniforms in 2011. 2. I have yet to see a white or vintage white away uniform concept that matches the blue alternates that looks good. 3. I couldn't deal with that number font for 82 games a season. You know it's bad when copperplate is preferable. 4. I like the cannon logo, in fact, it's on my car in magnet form, but I love the C flag and I love the current shoulder patches. I think those are two logos that do a great job of complementing each other and explaining the city and nickname concept as a unit, and it would be a shame to lose them. AndrewG70
That was Philadelphia and Atlanta's template. No it's not. vs. Yes it is. Look at the sleeves on the white Thrashers jersey. Kevin W.
That was Philadelphia and Atlanta's template. No it's not. vs. Ottawa has the same template as Pittsburgh, which is the same one that Tampa Bay also used initially. Here's what he means about Atlanta and Philadelphia having the same template: Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions) King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)
Xodius
^^ I understand that. What I'm saying is that the Vancouver prototype doesn't use the same template as the '07 Thrashers/Flyers.Yes it is. Look at the sleeves on the white Thrashers jersey. Trust me on this one. The marroon area is way too large to be the same ATL/PHI arm design (reference). What we're looking at with the marroon is a front profile of the arm, which takes up the entire forearm (reference) unlike the ATL/PHI template which only utilizes the elbow and only creeps up a bit of the forearm. The only difference in this template in comparison to Ottawa/Pittsburgh/TB is the large stroke of blue separating the marroon from the navy which is probably why it looks like the white area of Atlanta's away jersey.I know this appears to be bitty semantics but it needs clarification, apparently. What we're probably looking at:
Chewbacca
This thread has become a terrible endless merry-go-round of debates about the Hurricanes, Canucks, and Stars. Wash.Rinse,Repeat. I'm almost praying some team releases an absurd third jersey or the Sharks' outdoor game jersey has "Jabber Jaw" on it just to break up the monotony. Allow me to answer your prayers. This isn't much but I think it is definitely worth talking about. Remember the rumor that Chicago wanted to wear a 60's Throwback in the Stadium Series game last year? This is a wild guess on my part but I have a feeling that Chicago's jersey might be a Cream-Colored 60's throwback. It would make sense and it would probably be a very nice jersey, especially for the Winter Classic.

The logos of the main set are perfect, no argument there. That being said, they could stand to update the striping... While not as bad as most of the templates introduced that year, it still has that "RBK class of 07" feel. Replacing the piping that contours to the hemline with some bold, horizontal stripes would go a long way. Blue jersey could also really use a contrasting yoke. B-mer
I'm starting to like Columbus's alternate more, but it needs normal white instead of vintage white, and a better font. The logo doesn't do much for me either and would love to see a new direction with that. I like their primary logo but think it wouldn't fit with the color difference, and also a recolor of it would cause it to lose the Ohio flag.
