The_Admiral
The social-justice/Blackhawks twitter community is up in arms, basically that Scuderi is bad, Daley is also bad, Blackhawks fans didn't like Daley because he's black so they'll like this trade, but both players are bad, so Stan Bowman is also bad. I feel like the real loser of this trade is me. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Sodboy13
Or you could argue that Daley was bad, Scuderi is worse, and the last couple of seasons have showcased a completely unnecessary kneecapping of the system's defensive depth as the team keeps skating Michal Rozsival.Or you could mumble something about SJWs out of the corner of your mouth not holding your vape pen, then go back to liking @Drunk_Kaner tweets. The_Admiral
I don't drink or do drugs. Anyway, bad trade, the only saving grace is maybe that Scuderi can eat minutes in home games or that he can just be buried to bring up Pokka or Gustafsson, who are playing well in Rockford. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

The_Admiral
Why are we surprised? The feeling was that McLellan would have the Oilers, if not necessarily a playoff team, at least out of the cellar. Here they are, out of the cellar, and their #1 center will be back eventually. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

twi
Things not going so great in Lightning Land. So. Many. Injuries. The last two games Cooper has gone with an 11F and 7D lineup and subsequently lost a forward to injury in the first period. Tough to play the last two games with 10 forwards. Bishop has been a saving grace this season, sporting a sub 2 GAA. Oh yeah and the Stamkos thing. No way is he worth what he wants at the rate he's played the last two seasons. I hate to say it (and couldn't have imagined doing so 12 months ago) but I think the best course for the team is separating if something "reasonable" can't be agreed on. Crabcake
Caps embarrass the Pens on their home ice with their new coach debuting, 4-1. Caps are now 21-6-2. Let that sink in for a moment.
The_Admiral
Okay, it sunk in. The Capitals are winning lots of regular-season games as they've been doing for several years. The only time they didn't was when they had a stupid handjob for a coach. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
CS85
An old guy who plays 100% defense and has no offensive ability? Quenneville's Christmas come early. That being said, as a fan, I don't care. Team's gonna get in the playoffs, probably challenge for a cup, and as far as I'm concerned we're just playing with house money at this point. I've seen them win 3 cups and that's an amazing feeling and experience.Acquiring some old bum for some young bum doesn't change anything. The only time they didn't was when they had a stupid handjob for a coach. The Caps have been a great regular season team since I started following the NHL (2010-11), and while admittedly the Caps teams of those days were probably good, this has been the best and most complete one I've seen. Obviously Ovi and Backstrom have been lights out, but this year we have an excellent defense corps (Carlson could be a sleeper Norris candidate, Alzner and Niskanen are very good players, and Orlov is coming into his own), secondary scoring behind Ovi (Kuznetsov, Williams, Oshie, etc.), and a Vezina candidate in goal (Holtby). While their season will definitely be judged on their postseason success, I feel like they need to be getting way more recognition for their start. Crazy to think about Daley being in the league since before Lockout II. The shred of hope I have with Scuderi is that for all the complaining Pens fans have been doing about him, a check of his stats shows that he's been playing like 20 minutes a night! Well, obviously, that's stupid! Play him like ten minutes a night and maybe he won't be so bad. That and the fact that he probably won't play every night, but then again, Brandon Mashinter is STILL HERE... ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
