MLB 2016 Changes

Recommended Posts

Any possible leaks of the Diamondbacks new Uni's or hats?

In a roundabout way you've seen part of the new stuff.

I'm not looking forward to Arizona's unveiling.

I really like the current, now old, look. All it needs is some minor changes and it would be one of the top MLB looks to me.

The updated wordmarks are much better in my opinion, the only positive really.

In a roundabout way? Current uniforms but new wordmarks and weird texture somewhere plus a throwback third featuring only one of the old colors which seems to be turquoise?

A third with teal is incorrect. Try alternative home and away jerseys.

I believe you said the teal is three shades brighter than the teal on the original set. How bright? Like Miami Dolphins bright?

I hope Arizona keep the black alt jersey as it is now. The primary A on the front and the sleeve snakehead logo are very clever and underrated logos imo

The more I hear, the worse these jerseys sound.

Alternative as in colored tops? So the home and road uniforms wouldn't change too much appart from the wordmark and lack of sand?

Hmm, maybe this won't look as bad as I think.

If the sand is basically not on the jerseys, then it sounds like their jerseys are going to be primarily white, red, black, and teal. I don't think that is THAT ugly of a scheme, but it's got some bold colors, so things will have to be done pretty "tastefully" for this to end up looking decent.

I guess a positive from all of this is that we will have a team incorporating a rarely-used color, which is always a good thing in MLB. And the D-backs are a perfect team to do it, since they literally have less history than almost any other team, and therefore have less tradition to break.

GoNordiques, can you say if there are any teams besides the Padres, Diamondbacks, and Twins making changes to their uniforms for next season? Thanks for taking the time to respond to our questions.

Forgive me for not wanting to scroll back 391 pages....

So this is actually happening?

That will be the Padres' home cap for next season.

That's definitely better than the previous primary (now road) cap. Stupid idea/timing/ect, but still better than what they just had.

Just give us an "A" on the Diamondback home uniforms and "ARIZONA" on their road uniforms.

Is it really that hard for the team to figure out?

That's been my thoughts as well for a long time. You just can't cram that name into a jersey, no matter how hard you try. And sorry, I don't really care how the fans feel about it: when I see "D'backs" I ALWAYS think "D'bags". You shouldn't want that on your uniform.

I'm almost fine with them having "ARIZONA" on both the home and road, if that's what they'd have to do.

That's great! Now if only they'd be smart enough to actually carry that color scheme over to the road/alt...

Is the source for the article on the home page saying that this new white S/yellow D hat is on a trial run or that blue and yellow as the Padres colors altogether are?
