Honestly, for State anyways, it wasn't noticeable and almost kind of enhanced the look of the red and white jerseys last year imo. The grey military appreciation set looked terrible, but there was a lot wrong with those aside from just the shockweb. Obviously the black looked bad, but that was an older shockweb pattern. williams Posted June 25, 2016 Share Posted June 25, 2016 As a Virginia fan I have mixed emotions (if these helmets are for real). We have been calling for a white helmet since 1993 when we last wore them... But I'm not a fan of the modified blue helmet. The current look is iconic to us the way it is. 4_tattoos Posted June 25, 2016 Share Posted June 25, 2016 Judging by this 2016 season ticket promo North Carolina Central University released on youtube earlier this month, they are sticking with Russell for their uniforms. In this video a few of their players are wearing Russell uniforms while doing walkthroughs. Seems like most teams would use a season ticket promo video to show off new uniforms. Also don't recall NCCU wearing the particular uniforms from the promo video at any point in the last couple seasons. Spoiler So far 3 MEAC schools have decided to leave Russell going into the 2016 season. Florida A&M and Delaware State have gone to Nike, while Howard has signed with Under Armour.
