Am I seeing things or does St. Louis have a light silver stripe on their darker silver helmets?

Yes they do, it matches the away uniform color at least.

Also, pretty sure Bob Stoops wore his 2020 Renegades hat yesterday...

I'm not hating the football and like the potential, but some of these unis/identities will definitely need altering if the league continues.

Looking forward to the Angels rebranding to Angeles Angels to take advantage of alliteration.

The difference here is, of course, that "Vegas" is a common nickname for the city, and "Angeles" is not. What is a common nickname for Los Angeles is LA, and guess what? Both the Clippers and Galaxy use it.

The USFL played in one city last year and still felt more like a serious league, solely because of the branding and uniforms

You're really gonna stand there and slander another league's aesthetic stylings when every single USFL team wears red.

No, it will need to make money if the league continues.

Online tinkling contests pushing a USFL vs. XFL narrative? Goodness, make like a DC Defender and touch grass.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

I said their branding is more major league. You'll notice this is the logos subforum and not the sports in general section 👍

No all their branding looks like clip art. Also in this day and age uniforms with no manufacturer look busch league. Just look

how baggy Scooby Wrights jersey is.

I'd argue the exact opposite.

In fact, I'll die arguing the exact opposite.

Wow. I remember a time the NBA was praised on this forum because they didn't have manufacturer marks on the uniforms until the recent deal with Nike went into place.

The only problem with these uniforms was after the players got them fitted to their liking, teams with side panels like Tampa Bay had mismatched sizes on the paneling. Ta'amu's side panels on one uniform almost disappeared.

Later in the season:

Not having the side panels made it easier to customize the jerseys without looking out of place:

I'm interested in seeing what Pittsburgh will look like. Hopefully not just a recolor but I'm not sure what else they could do. It would be interesting if they have maker's marks this season and some sponsor patches like CFL or Arena Football

I think they'll roll with what they had last year. Since Fox is covering the costs I don't see why they'd have to have ad space on the jerseys. If they want to have ads, just put them on the field.

Even with a network connection, they're going to squeeze every drop of moisture out of those leagues.

I'm looking at it like this, if Fox is wanting to treat this as just below the level as the NFL, they'll want to avoid ad space. If they got Nike, adidas, or a big name to make the jerseys I can see them putting their logos on it. But if it's OTP or some company that just makes adidas' teamwear uniforms they won't want them on the uniform anywhere.

What is it with alternate football leagues having goofy ref shirts?

I think the only thing that threw me off is how few stripes they used on these, to include stripes on the sleeves. But they are an improvement on the planned 2020 referee uniforms.

Houston, Texas, USA. 8th Feb, 2020. XFL down judge Tangela Mitchell leaves a meeting on the field during the XFL game between the Los Angeles Wildcats and the Houston Roughnecks at TDECU

They did end up going with these which were slightly different from the standard uniform at the start of the season.
