Out of all of the ownerships that have been passed down, Davis is the only one with no children. Amy Adams Strunk has 3 children as does Clark Hunt. Even Dean Spanos has children. Gayle Benson has one child that is still alive, but that's going to be interesting to see what happens if she has to sell the Saints and/or Pelicans. So I wonder what the ownership plans are if something were to happen to Mark Davis? The Bachelor: Mark Davis
GDAWG 1,806 Posted September 6, 2019 Two things that indicate the NFL season has started: the endless amount of penalties and teams throwing short passes or running the ball on 3rd and long.
dfwabel 4,155 Posted September 6, 2019 8 hours ago, Red Comet said: The other pressing issue for Mark Davis is that unlike most guys running an NFL team now (and historically), the majority of his wealth is tied up in the Raiders. Thus, in order to finance the move to Vegas/keep the lights on, he has put up the Raiders as almost collateral to Bank of America. The moment there is a recession/NFL teams start falling in value, he's screwed and Bank of America takes over the Raiders. Would be a hell of an ironic turn for a franchise that marketed itself as appealing to the outcasts ends up ran by the biggest bank in the US. 8 hours ago, GDAWG said: Plus, Mark Davis has no heir apparent. So I wonder what the ownership plans are if something were to happen to Mark Davis? To my knowledge, Mark Davis does not legally own the Raiders, his mother, Carol Davis does. If he did own a portion, he would have had to already pay the estate tax back in 2011 (Note: Had Al died in 2010, there wouldn't have been any estate tax for Mark to pay due to congressional inaction). Similarly, Bob McNair's wife, Janice owns the Texans, but his son, Cal is the CEO and runs day-to-day operations. I believe the estate tax issues for Mark will occur when she dies. However, in 2015, the NFL began allowing ownership to set up Irrevocable Family Trust to keep them owning if they chose to. And the owner who spearheaded this...Bob McNair.

Rumor has it, Cassie Cooper - a hostess from the P. F. Chang's in Walnut Creek, California - is in possession of a Kids Menu/Coloring Page upon which Mark Davis has scrawled a codicil to his will - in crayon, mind you - that bequeaths the Raiders to her.

Sport 14,126 Posted September 6, 2019 starters don't really play in preseason games anymore so the first 4 to 6 weeks of the season are their tuneup games and every season those games are increasingly brutal to watch.

Furthering my belief that weeks 1-4 should be all of the interconference games, followed by round 1 of divisional games, then the intra-conerence games, then finish with round 2 of division games. The interconference games have the least impact, so having those first allows for teams to ramp up without costing them too much if they lose.

Seemed unnecessary, but then I still don't understand how the same guy can't punt and placekick. i also feel like the Falcons did this in the late 2000's decade with Michael Koenen and someone else. This year the Bucs punter Bradley Pinion will reportedly handle kickoffs and punts. Matt Gay will take FG's and PAT's.

I have always thought there should be some kind of standardization of schedules like this. Taking the Tampa Bay schedule for example, we knock out both Panthers games at the end of week 6. Both Saints games are done at the end of week 11.
