Pitt's current look is okay in a vacuum, but they got the shade of gold completely wrong. It should be more of a mustard color, not bright highlighter yellow.

As a result, their current uniforms would be more appropriate for San Jose State.

They had bright yellow in the late 80s/early 90s

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Highlighter yellow is much brighter than the shade Pitt is using. I would say it's more of an "athletic gold" or golden yellow. at least compared to, say, Oregon's yellow, which is much more "highlighter".

I would argue that this current shade is better overall compared to the mustard yellow. The latter just doesn't work on uniforms that well *ahem Jaguars ahem*.

Really surprising move by the Ducks, as they’re going white/green/white against Wazzu despite calling for fans to wear black. I’ve been wanting to see this combo since the new white lids were debuted, so it’s a pleasant surprise. This is definitely a guilty pleasure combo, as the white helmets and pants really shouldn’t go as well as they do without any white on the jerseys. It looks great IMO, though, especially with the green wings on the helmets.

The sleeve striping in these photos is what they should actually be using.

BTW, this Pitt-UNC game looks fantastic.
