Broncos are probably more talented, but Seattle is playing like they have a grudge and are finally getting the chance to let some of that out.

Is it weird that I kind of dislike the Seahawks a little less now that Wilson isn’t there? Seems like the Seahawks do, too.

The worst-kept secret is the Hawks and their fans were growing tired of Russ. There's some catharsis in rooting against him, really, ever since the SB INT.

My thought is Russell Wilson made football in Seattle super fun and relevant for a decade. It was awesome rooting for him because it felt like he could do anything.

I would have left the ball in his hands at 4 and 5. The FG try seemed pretty stupid.

Everyone Except Rich Eisen: Seattle is one of the worst teams in the NFL.  They have a good shot at Bryce Young or CJ Stroud.

Rich Eisen: Seattle will win at least 8 games because I have confidence in Pete Carroll as a coach.

Seattle Seahawks: We are confident we can win plenty of games this year.

I don't normally do this, but fire Hackett. That was a legendarily stupid coaching job. We've seen what needs to be seen here. Go ahead and move on to somebody that won't settle for a 64 yard field goal for no good reason. A field goal that wouldn't have been necessary if the Broncos had taken two chipshot field goals earlier instead of piss-poor 4th and goal plays.

The AFC West is too good for the coach to be that stupid.

Let's see what Doug Baldwin has to say about it:

Even if you have Lock/Bridgewater, you still go for it there. Just puzzled. Hopefully the Hawks come down from their high and get smacked in the Bay next week.

Considering the way the Niners played in that monsoon yesterday, they don't exactly inspire the fear of God in me.

Yeah that's anothing thing, The Broncos gave up a haul for a QB they don't trust with the game on the line?

That’s the thing that gets me the most. I get swinging for the fences for a qb (even if it think it was ill advised considering that Russ isn’t the same dude he used to be) and I guess Denver kinda had to do it with how anemic their offense has been since Peyton retired, but they already don’t seem to have much faith in him. That should be a pretty alarming to Denver fans.

Man, I was really confused by that field goal attempt when they went for it, but the more I think about it, the dumber it seems. That was a VERY poorly coached game by Denver. Nowhere to go but up, I guess 🤷‍♂️

Not sure if it's a trust issue. I think it might be a stupidity issue. In what world does anybody prefer to take a 64 yard field goal? I will forever talk mess about Drew Lock, but any other coach would have let him go for it on 4th down vs. a SIXTY-FOUR YARD FIELD GOAL!

There are a couple of good things though. 1. Anytime I'm down on myself, I can remember that I didn't strategize around kicking a 64 yard field goal and 2. We can forever bury the idea that coaches are very special geniuses.

They're just some dudes. They might work harder (or at least longer) than most people and have way more pressure than the average person, but they're not special.

Seattle has given Geno Smith stability in his NFL career.  Instead of playing for his 9th or 10th NFL team as we all thought he was going to do when he left the Chargers, Seattle is Smith's 4th team, having been there since 2019.  Whether or not he returns to Seattle next year will depend on how he does for the rest of the season and if Pete Carroll returns in 2023.

So how bad was Matt Patricia calling offensive plays for New England on Sunday and how many pencils did he have in his ear?

Just turned on the TNF game on Amazon.  Not only did it take nearly a minute to load, despite my gig-speed wired network, but it's just been buffering and going in and out of HD.  Anyone else experiencing issues like that?

Yes. It took forever to load, in part because it had to play a Lord of the Rings commercial. And with my fiber internet it's been okay.

Also Al doesn't have any chemistry with Kirk.

Is this a good game between two great teams? Or a decent game between two teams figuring it out after no rest? Assuming the latter; TNF shouldn't exist.

Glad I can watch it on TV then. Hell of a match so far but not nearly as high scoring as I expected. Hearing Al Michaels have to shill that Lord of the Rings show or any other of the “excellent programming” that comes with Cyber Monday made me feel sympathy pains.
