Vinny0930
This is a really solid update. Like the new logo, even if it look a bit like a yacht. Classic script is a big win.

TrueYankee26
Allow me to be creative. Like they use the nautical flags on the side of the red jersey I will use them for how I feel about these. Digby
58 minutes ago, gosioux76 said: This was my first thought, too. Not only do I think of the Twins when I see this, which is fine, but I also think of the Washington Wizards, which was easily avoidable. I think the mix of colors in the rebrand is great, they’re just leading with the wrong blue. This should be an aqua and red team with navy accents. That would be a sharp look too, the light blue they're using is more saturated and green-ish than the powder that Memphis uses/was generally more in vogue during the double-blue-everything era of the league. But with the only team currently pairing navy and red being the Wizards and their very specific design language, I don't think what the Clips chose here is necessarily an issue either. (But it is very Twinsy.) Plenty of options for alternates that aren't as unhinged as the usual City looks. PrimalCookie
I don’t love the switch from royal to navy, but the Sixers and Pistons are more established in red/white/blue so I get it. Would’ve preferred going the opposite direction since they have a history with powder, but it’s fine. Overall pretty good, big fan of going back to the script

gosioux76
54 minutes ago, Lights Out said: I disagree. The Wizards are primarily red, the Clippers are primarily navy, and the uniform designs are so radically different that I doubt anyone will confuse them. The current Wizards uniforms overlapped with the Hawks' navy and red era and nobody confused those either. I'm not suggesting there would be any confusion. But they would have been better off leaning into a color scheme that was unique, leading with aqua, than one that closely resembles the color palette of another team in the league. So no, I wouldn't confuse these two, but it's clear that, colorwise, they're painting with similar brushes, so to speak. 2

UnclearInitial
Even if the logo has its flaws, actually having a logo and not whatever squiggly lines and clip art they had is a massive upgrade, and it’s about damn time the Clippers had a nautical inspired logo again. Not a massive fan of the switch from royal to navy, and of the two new blues I would have rather they switched to light blue with navy in a supporting role. The wordmarks are probably the biggest miss for me, the entire brand is very similar to the Twins but the wordmark especially run into the computer-generated uncanny valley problem the Twins wordmark has had for decades. The cursive doesn’t look like nautical ropes like the 2010 script. I do like the stacked Los Angeles Uniforms are fine, especially the red one seems good, but I’m a bit baffled by the monocolor flags when they could have mimicked their own colors. We’ll see how well single color reads. Like how the shorts on the red shorts seem inspired by this pretty underrated uniform Spoiler Pretty surprising that they revealed a massive rebrand as they go into a new arena with an ESPN article 60 games into the previous season. Definitely not how I expected Ballmer to want to make a splash. I’m just glad the new identity isn’t based on blackletter
henburg
I would be interested to see what this could have looked like with all of the red replaced with orange. I get why they wouldn't go that route, but would've been a singular color scheme for them and I could envision it looking super sharp

Overall I'd give this an 8/10. Most of the logos (the alt ones) are great. As mentioned above, the main logo looks like a cruise ship. Maybe if they were in San Diego, it'd be ok. As for the uniforms, the white one is the best of the bunch. I think with both the red and navy jerseys, the wordmark and number colors should be switch (i.e. white clippers on navy and red numbers, white clippers on red navy numbers). Love the use of the nautical flags on the jerseys as well. i really like that side design they got going on with that jersey. no idea why it doesn’t carry onto the white and blue jersey. and speaking of which, i wish they opted for a light blue jersey instead navy blue one. too many navy jerseys in the league IMO. could have gotten our first return of a baby blue team since the grizzlies
swilson160
LOL Quote Ballmer nudged the team's logo to make it look less bored-high-school-sophomore-in-the-back-of-geometry-class and got Lowe to out-Creamer Chris Creamer. https://defector.com/steve-ballmer-hopes-new-uniforms-and-logos-can-change-the-fundamental-clipperness-of-the-whole-situation 1
~Bear
Obviously a big upgrade. Really like the new white/navy jerseys as well. Red jersey is alright but fine as an alternate I suppose. Really like the direction to use a ship in the main logo. I also really like the new LA monogram logo. There's only so many ways you can do one that both still feels unique and looks good, and they did it.
FiddySicks
This might be one of my favorite rebrands in years. It was so desperately needed, and I think they stuck the landing on bringing the brand into the 2020s while still giving a nod to the past. I get the dislike of the cruise ship logo, but it actually makes perfect sense considering that the LA area is one of the largest cruise ship terminals in the world (fun fact, I went on a cruise in December out of Long Beach Harbor, and on the way, I stopped to see construction on the new Clippers arena). It might’ve made a bit more sense if they played in Long Beach rather than Inglewood, but that’s splitting hairs and I can give that one a pass. 4 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) VampyrRabbit
It's okay, I get the change from royal to navy and the addition of the Pacific blue is great, though I wish the team had used more of it instead of just a little sliver on the collar and armhole trim. Not feeling the logos, the roundel feels sterile with a type font that feels really generic and the ship looks more like a cruise ship instead of a clipper. I like the LA monogram, but while I like the idea of updating the scripts and they did get rid of the filled counters, it no longer looks like intertwined ropes with the home script. It's a decent rebrand, but it could have been a lot better.

coco1997
I definitely get the Twins comparisons. As great as Minnesota's new set is, this almost makes me wish the Twins had included a little pop of powder blue the way these do.
