officeglenn
I think I was six when I got a Calgary Flames away jersey for Christmas. It was their late 80s style ... same as when they won the Cup in '89. No name, no number. I outgrew it pretty quickly, as I recall.
Larry013
1979...I was 6 and it was a New York Mets Lee Mazzilli Jersey...::sigh::
griffelh
I was 8, it was 1973 and the jersey was a Franco Harris Steelers jersey. Much more crude than what we have nowadays, but I actually have a picture of me wearing on my birthday.

CC97
1968 blue St. Louis Blues sweater (junior sized). It was an honest to goodness miniaturized version of the real thing right down to the same heavy fabric they used to use, the embroidered crest and stitched on tackle twill numbers (30 for Jacques Plante). Although I got it when I was born in April of 68, it didn't fit until I was 7. you still have it... right?!My first was a Florida Panthers road jersey for Xmas '93. Used to turn some heads when I'd wear that one. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net Β "The Mothership" β’ News β’ Facebook β’ X/Twitter β’ Instagram
Roger Clemente
Christmas 1993: Mighty Ducks of Anaheim white jersey, size Youth M, CCM. Had L. SCANLAN put on it with vinyl letters. I wore for a week straight after Christmas. Still have it, but it won't fit.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. Follow me on Twitter if you care: @Animal_Clans.My opinion may or may not be the same as yours. -kj
In 1994, I bought a white Seattle Thunderbirds jersey, the old Hartford-style with no grey. I still have it, despite the fact that it doesn't fit any more, and that it has stains on it. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! JetsLuvver
I got a Mark Gastineau #99 Jets jersey for Christmas in '86, when I was seven years old. That same Christmas, I also got one of those Hutch helmet and uniform sets. The jersey from that one seemed to last a bit longer than the #99 one. Both jerseys vanished and the helmet from the Hutch set ended up broken to pieces in my backyard. The first jersey I owned as an adult was a Mark Brunell Jags teal replica. It was one of those cheap Logo 7 replicas. This one was a Christmas gift also. The first I bought with my own money was an Antwan Jamison #7 Warriors Champion replica I found on a discount rack at JCPenney. I'd never seen anyone wearing the "lightning bolt" style of Warriors jersey, so I picked it up.
klesla
1992 authentic philadelphia eagles green Cunninigham jersey. The only problem was that the place sent it to me made by Wilson, when they were made by Russell. I was bummed, but still have the magic first of many! TBGKon
Mine was probably in 1998, it was a replica Starter Keyshawn Johnson Jets jersey, I still have it to this day and it still fits, i usually wear it as a "throwback" since it has the cuffs around the sleeves

VitaminD
1985: Cincinnati Reds home white pullover. #27, no name. It was for a Halowe'en costume - I went as Mr. Red when I was 9. Made the baseball head out of papier-mache at home (with major help from the family). I still don't know why Mr. Red wore #27 back then. Jose Rijo wore it a couple years later.EDIT: I completely forgot... my first jersey was a Mean Joe Green Steelers' #75 black jersey. I was maybe 6 (1982), and our new next door neighbors got it for me. They were from Pittsburgh. They also gave me a Terrible Towel, which I probably have somewhere. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17. Discrim
first jersey in some form: Giants LT jersey, which was part of one of those Hutch costume uniforms I STILL see in stores, shoot, the only thing I've seen change is the facemask (mine had the old style 2-bar mask you used to see on the Bears endzone) and that it's harder to get an out of town team.my first real jersey: actually, it also happened to be the first jersey I wore in football. I still have it...the coach had given me #53 cus we wore green and gold, and my last name's Carr (Fred Carr, 70s Packers linebacker, was the coach's inspiration)...even though I never wore 53 since then (i've worn 67, 64, 57 (I think) and 95), I still have the jersey, and amazingly enough I can still put it on, but I get that Mr. Incredible feeling, it's too small to wear out nowadays first jersey I bought with my own money: Eagles home midnight green...Bobby fluffing Hoying sue me, I like the Eagles jersey but they were out of Watters jerseys. It fit too tightly for my tastes, so I rarely wore it.for the hell of it, first hockey jersey: Senators swoosh jersey that I got for half offfirst basketball jersey: a couple jerseys (authentic style Michigan blue, Raptors Stoudamire and Bulls MJ) that my cousin had left behind for some reason.first baseball jersey: Brewers fashion jerseyfirst baseball cap: I don't remember, honestly, but I do remember I had a late 80s Sox hat, and I fondly remember my uncle TD sending me a Mets hat (the glorious blue one...thankfully neither black version was even a glimmer in anybody's eyes back then) A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull

Shumway
The first I remember having is my Dan Majerle suns jersey. It still hangs on my wall along with my Barry Sanders and Miami Alonzo Mourning. My favorite, however, will always be my Team Canada 3rd jersey, with my vintage McSorley Oilers jersey coming close behind.Other first jerseys:Baseball: LA Dodgers roadFootball: Barry Sanders(the one on my wall)Hockey: Milwaukee Admirals fan jersey...actual jersey would be a Flyers orange(old)Jersey I created: My "Hosers" jersey for my roller hockey league. It was solid blue with diagonal "Hosers" in red like the Rangers jerseys. Completed with my assistant captain A, which was awesomely spelled "EH"...although only like 3 people got the joke. BJ Sands
I was in 7th grade and for Chanukkah I got a Dick Butkus throwback from the old Vintage Collection from Champion. I'm glad I got it back in 1997 because it only cost 75 bucks. Now, something like it from those jerks at Mitchell & Ness would cost three times as much, if not more.I still wear it to this day and it's still my favorite. FiddySicks
My first jersey i ever got i got the last day of summer before the fourth grade (im a senior in high school now, so you do the math). I got a San Francisco 49ers Steve Young jersey. The material was more like a hockey jersey than a football jersey though, considering it was all polyester.I still have it too, heres a pic.
