Sec19Row53
This is a great thread. At the risk of admitting embarrassing ignorance, what am I missing in the old Atlanta Hawks logo? It's a hawk profile, not a PacMan look-alike It's where I sit.
BaltimoreFan
I remember last season during the playoffs my cousin finally realized that the Vikings helmet logo was a horn. He said he thought it was some crazy wing thing before.
azdarkblue
"I swear I just saw the hawk in this logo."Apparently, the earlier poster meant that he or she had previously not seen the hawk outline in the logo. I thought the poster meant that he or she ONLY saw the hawk outline, suggesting that there was something else to see that they had just now figured out. That's why I was confused. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming . . . JetsLuvver
I never knew the three lines inside this Warner Bros. logo were supposed to form a "W".

It's not "elb" it's "eMb" for expos Montreal baseball. That's the problem I always had with the logo - the "M" isn't nearly distinctive enough. Most people only see an "l".That one's backwards - you should see the complete picture first, then recognize the letters within. That's the way the Brewers' glove works, that's the way the lion head logo works, but the Expos' logo is the other way - you see the letters, and realize that some of them kind of form another picture. Max Power
I always thought it was the sun (the yellow basketball) moving past the moon (the red cresent moon on the right side) after an eclipse. That's what I was thinking too...but think about it...the sun never comes between the earth and the moon during an eclipse. If it were an eclipse, the sun would be in the shape of a crescent...in theory. Good point. Shows what I know about astrology.
DEAD!
This isn't sports--but for Canadians--how many of you realized the "B" in the Bay's wordmark was a "B"--as a kid I thought it was a scrunched up shape--and I although I know it's a "B"--in my mind it's still a scrunched up "B"--all that fancy stuff on the left side distracted me and that became the focal point--I know others who thought the same thing.(Or a bigger one here.)I used to think it was an M. For the longest time (until I was at least 10) I didn't know why they called it the May - didn't they know it was wrong . It does look more like an M than a B... wow, and I thought I was the only that thought it was an 'M'. I saw, I came, I left.
swisherHOU
For conspiracy theorists....you may have seen the "hidden" Nike Swoosh in the Broncos logo, but how 'bout the Ravens? I actually noticed this almost perfect Swoosh when I was creating a vector version of this logo when they were in the Super Bowl.

BlueSky
The circular part of the OLD Northwest Airlines logo contains an "N" and a "W" depending on how you look at it (THE "W" has a white stripe through it and is completed by the triangle). And if the circle was a compass, the little triangle would point...northwest.The triangle points northwest in the new logo as well, but for some reason Northwest reverses it on the right side of their planes, making it point northeast.
