Jaguars getting new uniforms

I do think some gold would be nice, and maybe some sleeve stripes, but other than that, it's not too bad. But I'd like to see the helmet under stadium lights before I make a decision on it.

A buddy of mine saw the new jerseys and freaked out because he thought Maurice Jones-Drew signed with the Eagles. After looking at it a bit, yeah. They kinda do remind me of the Eagles.

So much for Weaver's plan for making the Jaguars look more unique on the field.

I don't like 'em. They're too bland now, and they weren't great before either. At least they could have brought teal pants to the road uni...they STILL look like the Falcons/Ravens/Bengals/Texans/etc. with their road unis.

No. But I like everything the Jags do -- teal pants, black pants, teal jerseys, black jerseys, whatever. I think they've a unique color palette and have shown a willingness to do things a little differently.

I don't think this is the best uniform I've ever seen, but to me, it shows more boldness than the boring, unnecessary Lions redesign.

I think this look will translate well to television and I'm excited to see the team in an actual game.

To me, the whole look is something different. Sometimes, that's enough.

When I scroll down and take a quick glance at the teal jersey, I think its the Dolphins.

This might sound kind of strange, but with the new striping and the way the "primary color" is one color at home and another on the road, these sort of remind me of professional soccer kits more than football uniforms (helmet, front numbers, and jersey cut notwithstanding).

To anyone who pictures this new set as an epic failure, I think you're over reacting. Why? Because what they've unveiled is modernized, simple and refreshing. By all means, it's nothing spectacular. But it's far, far from an epic failure. Now I do agree that it has similarities to the Eagles and that could have been avoided a little more. It also may have been better with extra gold borders around the numbers and so forth. But I don't feel the need to complain that much. A change was nessasary and one has been made. If you think this team looks horrible, just think about what basketball fans from Oklahoma City have to endure everytime they watch their team play.

Holy geez. Just a couple of minor alterations, and that fixes a lot. And I mean a lot. The number font, however, still looks like an Asian knockoff of the Falcons.

The uniforms are underwhelming, and the side-by-side comparison gives the illusion that the color is different. ColorWerx, is that true? The new (?) shade and the lack of gold gives the teal jersey's a Philadelphia Eagles vibe.

I really like the home uniform. With a few tweaks here and there, they would be great. I really like the fact that they embraced the no-sleeves trend in the NFL by not having a design element where the sleeves should be (Unlike Detroits big new stripes that will only be seen on half of the team).

The road uni on the other hand, unless viewed close up, looks like that of another team. I think teal numbers outlined in black would go a long way towards improving these. I also wouldn't mind seeing black pants home and away. The one little detail that really bugs me is the wordmark under the collar. Why have 'Jacksonville' up there? You can barely even read it up close.

It's the same Teal. It's probably just a difference in fabrics.
