wildwing64
Basically, Hiller got sent a prototype of a new mask model, which was unpainted. He wore it to practice, and was going to have painted, but the rest of the team liked it so it stuck. PotD: 24/08/2017
njmeadowlanders
The Rangers finally have their home opener tonight, and they're in their regular home uniforms, not the "heritage" ones, which wouldn't bat an eye, except that they're hosting the Leafs, and they only wear those jerseys vs. Original Six teams or on Sundays. Is that just for opening night or is it just an alternate in the sense that they'll just wear it whenever at this point?
charger77
#1 Those Jets road jerseys are really growing on me.#2 The Rangers are wearing pink chin straps, not sure if that had been mentioned before. habsfan1
Wasn't the point of helmet numbers to help commentators recognize players easier from a front view? Those black numbers on the black helmets, they aren't very clear to read.
Kramerica Industries
How the hell would commentators read those numbers anyway? It would only be for officials and ice-level personnel.

The Giant Pacific Octopus
The Rangers are wearing pink chin straps, not sure if that had been mentioned before.Yeah they wore them last night. They wore regular white chin straps all month with thier white road uniforms. I guess they did this just for the home opener. The Catch of the Day! tigerslionspistonshabs
Anyone know if the Capitals are working on a blue alternate with the W Eagle? I figured having a player that sells a ton of jerseys (Ovie) would be enough of a reason to do it for $$, let alone the fact that it has potential to be a great uni. jonas1111
They would probably rather have a vintage jersey than a third jersey. They do have a history, albeit unspectacular one.

The Capitals got a pass with their Edge jerseys because there were many far worse designs. Now that sanity is slowly being restored, the Capitals jerseys look like a dated product of an experiment gone wrong,Keep the colours, keep red as the primary and replace the futuristic striping with something more traditional and restrained. Point1
I'm not trying to promote my concept or anything, but I always thought that the key to getting the Cap's jerseys right was putting the W on front and matching the striping on the bottom. tigerslionspistonshabs
^ I'd be happy with this if they used some variation of the script as an alt, whether it be the winter classic throwback or their current.

The_Admiral
I thought a good way to modernize the Capitals, in addition to putting the Weagle front and center, would be to have a shoulder yoke with a triangle cut out of each side so they form sort of a W, or a |/\| as the case may be. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Bayne
I never thought that the Weagle could work as a primary, but the above concept actually doesn't look too bad.I still am a fan of the wordmark logo though. I'm Danny fkn Heatley, I play for myself. That's what fkn all stars do.
