That Oilers jersey is beautiful.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

They're "blue" and "orange." That's the opposite of dated. Would you like to see the Knicks and Mets wear midnight blue and copper, too?

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Islanders are wearing a shoulder patch. Not sure what for.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

It's the way they're arranged more than anything. It's particularly egregious the way all the gloves are done now in various team colors. Completely different than the Mets and Knicks, although I couldn't tell you what the latter look like.

As for midnight blue and copper, much more distinctive and unique. Although I don't think the Oilers ever took full advantage of that color scheme.

I like the Kings' template, but I hate the home plate logo. Why not just use the crown? It's been strong enough for the last 13 years or so, why not now?

The Oilers white jerseys look exactly like I pictured them. Good.

That panthers jersey really needs some white on it somewhere.

I'm okay with the Predators as they're already the best jersey they've ever worn and I like the music tie-ins.

I'm in the minority, but I like the Panthers jersey. First, it's red. Second, they got rid of the apron strings. Third, no broken stick to say "it's hockey."

Piping probably should have stayed on the yoke, but with those Edge sleeve stripes there's really no way to make it blend. These are about as good as a truly Edge-ified Panthers could look. Of course, many teams have escaped the clutches of Edge since. But considering the direction the colors were headed not so long ago, I'll take it.

I've said it here before, but each jersey change has made me miss the previous version. Navy replacing red, then Edge replacing the classic, then, of course, the double blues. I can honestly say that I think this move is an upgrade. As good as it can be? No. But headed in the right direction finally. Now if the team can do the same...

Also, I'm hoping they remove the apron strings from the white jerseys, but hold on to the yoke trim. But if they stay as-is? Good enough. They'll at least look like the Florida Panthers again.
