Couldn't they have waited until he got the jersey all the way on?

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Here's a link to a bunch of draft day pics courtesy of Eric Miller of Reuters:

And I agree with you, Kevin W... it looks like Miller took most of these pics with the jersey half-on for some stupid reason. Still, it's better than nothing I figure...

I assume the Jet's will have jerseys sooner than later. By August at the latest. They have to be out by the time EA Sports finishes and mass produces NHL 12. This quote, tells me they already have something done and are just waiting for approval. Chipman: "Jets' colors won't be completely different, but new logo and uniforms won't resemble the old ones".

The colors won't be completely different from what? The Thrashers colors?

The Panthers new red jerseys are even worse than what they're wearing now. At least now they have enough yellow in to make the colors look good even if the design is bad. Now they have the red touching the blue which almost never looks good. Red, blue, and yellow is a really good color scheme but the Panthers dropped the ball here.

If the Jets are going back to blue and red, and I wouldn't be against them picking original colors, they better damn well go back to the shades previously used. Don't say you are going back to Jets colors and then "upgrade" to navy. Navy shouldn't be these uniforms at all.

What I get from that is that the colors won't be too vastly different from Winnipeg's old set, but they'll change the royal blue to navy so that they have one of the most unique color sets in pro sports.

Yeah, they're so getting a sky blue alt with "retro" crest.

I can see it now. The 1979 circular Jets logo... within a circle which has Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club written in it.

I guarantee you they'll probably be in navy-blue instead of royal-blue. Most teams who announce that they have blue in their uniforms almost always go with that shade, but I would image they'll probably Capital-ize, or Bruin-ize their jerseys and find some happy medium without destroying their identity. At least they're going to be called the Winnipeg Jets, even though Mark Chipman looked slightly disappointed when he announced it at the draft. I'm just glad ego didn't take over in that decision.

But yeah, the responses here are pretty much what I expected, circle-jerk time for the Oilers jersey, exaggerated disgust in the Panthers new jersey, and whining about the Kings removing purple from their Sacramento-ripoffs jerseys.

Overall, the Oilers is nice, except the collar, which looks like a thong, make it more like the simple collar that the Red Wings use and it'll be close to perfect.

Florida, not bad, definitely an upgrade, but it needs to have some thin gold trim on the navy piping, and I'm assuming the navy-blue will become an alternate or dropped completely. Thank God, it wasn't double-blue.

Nashville, the best jersey, 10 out of 10. Now that, is awesome, and for once the piping isn't a distraction. Sort of similar in style to the St. Louis Blues, but I like both of those uniform set.

Los Angeles, I like the colors, but I can't see if a crown is present on the inside tip of the pencil-logo. I'm neither a fan of the piping, half-stripes, and I agree that they should make the crown the primary logo, and a shield logo for the shoulders. I'll just wait for someone to make a concept of that in a week or so. Lateral move, I haven't liked the Kings' jerseys since the Black and Silver era ended in the 1990's.

Now that the Edmonton Oilers have foolishly gone back to their royal blue, orange, white colours. The Winnipeg Jets should snap up the navy blue, red, copper, white colours. I'd change the copper to more of a Winnipeg Blue Bombers old gold colour for a nice symmetry between the Winnipeg teams plue a nod to the "Golden Jet" Bobby Hull.

No thanks, that scheme looked dated and dull a decade ago. Kudos to Oilers for being the only team to release a good looking jersey on draft day.

The thing that annoys me the most about the Oilers currents jerseys, is that they have the exact same stripes as the jerseys the ditched pre "edge". Don't get one wrong the new white jersey looks sharp, but just seems stupid to me.

Here you go, hockeyweek...

Ryan Smyth trade goes through, Ducks draft Rickard Rakell in first round

Isn't that how the collar usually is? I'm not a huge Ducks watcher so I could be wrong...

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I was just staring at the tv for far too long lol. Idk, it looked like there was more orange than usual, but it was probably the difference between the collar being stood up against his collared shirt, as opposed to usually wrapping around hockey pads.

I'm guessing that it was a red herring (or at least an orange herring *ba dum bum pshi*), but if it turns out that I was right, I am so taking credit for it lol.

---------------

As for the Jets, I'm guessing they'll go with a darker blue, though if they were smart, they'd keep the normal blue and go with a darker red, which would be different, and those who want to can say it's thrasher-esque. I'm also guessing they'll throw gold in there, kind of treat it like Team Canada did after they won gold medals, real subtle-like.

I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

I have always liked that shield Kings logo as an alternate. But having it as a primary is a huge mistake. Nothing about that logo says "Kings" to me. A crown does. A lion does. But not that shield. The more I see it, the more I think of home plate

Go A's!

Yeah, that's the normal collar and jersey. Nothing to see here.

If anything, I'm surprised the 3rd jersey wasn't used, especially considering it's been used for every other public appearance since its unveiling.
