$15? The Giants raised their parking prices to, I :censored: you not, $50 a game!

Although, that's more of a way to tell people how stupid it is to drive into the city and try to park rather than purchasing a 5-10 dollar BART ticket.

Only because BBTV is in on this conversation, this calls for a Clay Davis moment........

SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIT! I save myself 20 to 30 bucks and park in one of those lots over by Reds Java House and foot it to the ballpark. Even if I do take BART I foot it from the station rather than deal with the sardine cans that are the Muni metrorail.

It is never an inappropriate time to post a Clay Davis moment.

Never.

Today's Phillies / Marlins rain-out means that barring another rain-out, or them skipping Fat Joe's start, my next game will be my third Halladay start of the year - which in the grand scheme of things is pretty awesome, but I was psyched to see Cliff Lee live for the first time since '09.

Thanks to Saturday's rainout, I got to see Hamels/Sanchez rather than Blanton/Volstad today. Since when did they raise parking prices to $15?

Not sure... since I don't drive. Should be able to park for free in FDR Park though. They sometimes have people asking for money, but if you tell them you're there for a valid public use of the park, they have to let you through.

I've parked there a few times before....we were kind of cutting it close to game time today (thanks to my friends meeting us in West Chester an hour later than expected), so we just parked in the stadium lot.

Yeah, Yankees games have gotten up to 34 dollars to park this year. And that's in the lot that you have to walk a while to get to the stadium. I'm not even sure how much the garage near the stadium costs.

Then don't drive to baseball games, guys. I saw on either the wikipedia or the google that New York and San Francisco have large and comprehensive public transit systems.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Wow, and I thought $30 was out of control back when I went to AT&T in '07. But I suppose that's the price of winning....

Yeah the Yankees have a train that literally makes stops outside the stadium. Me and my dad have been thinking about using it since it came out but never have gotten around to it. I guess we don't want to rely on something else taking us to the games.

I would definately recommend taking the train into the stadium. You save on parking, tolls (depending on where your coming from) and all the hastle of getting out of the ballpark.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't approach the parking lot in SF when I was there for the game last week. I was driving in from out of town so public transportation really wasn't an option. But I got lucky and found a spot to park on the street for free.

Just some advice for next time, yes it absolutely still can be an option. If you drive into east bay, park at a BART station like Castro Valley or San Leandro it's free to park there on weekdays and a dollar on weekends and it's a very easy ride into the city. Really, there's no reason to bring a car into the city. It's a very small city and most everything worth seeing is within walking distance or is a short bus ride away.

What I love about Wrigley is its accessibility. It really draws me into going to more games. Getting tickets is the hard part, cruising to the Linden station and riding trains into the city is fun and convenient.

Giants absolutely humiliating the Rockies 8-0 in the 3rd in Denver. Schierholtz becomes 2nd Giant to ever hit one to the upper deck there(After you know who).

I'm stunned the Giants are hitting as well as they are.
