Nike NFL uniforms "sneak peak"

Disagree. The Raiders' road uniforms are VERY touchable. There's really no reason why they shouldn't be wearing these full-time on the road:

And the Chiefs look bland and outdated, IMO.

I disagree with you. Although I like the look of those Raiders' unis, what they wear now is better and more balanced. When their primary color is black, it doesn't make sense to only have black in a few stripes and a number outline. Oh,and the Chiefs' unis are great and not dated.

I could go both ways with that. You could argue that there's an implied black border around the silver numbers on their home uniform, and that having silver numbers with a black outline on the road is therefore perfectly consistent. You could also argue that the black numbers on the road at least incorporate their primary (or at least home-jersey) color more.

Maybe a compromise would be black numbers with a thicker silver border than what they have now? So basically the inverse of the image above.

I hope so - I've been advocating that the Packers use compression shirts to bring back proper stripes for several years now.

Or better yet, make the jersey sleeves and shoulders out of the compression material and have the sleeves reach mid-bicep. Then enforce rules against jersey alteration.

Exactly. If you put the stripes on a separate compression garment, not everyone will wear them, and you'll end up with a bigger problem than what you already have.

The stripes have to be on the actual jersey.

Nike, PLEASE read the bolded statements.

I would much rather have some players wearing striped compression shirts and some not than the mismatch we have now with some players cutting off the stripes.

I'd also rather have compression sleeves on some if it allowed teams to keep their traditional pattern rather than butchering it.

I think the striped undershirts could definitely work. If they could Mandate long socks I dont see why they can't do the same with 3/4 sleeves. And plus if some players decide not to wear the sleeves it can't look much worse than what we have now.... Now with that being said inthink bikes templates are pretty stripe friendly especially as opposed too the reebok/tech fit that some teams are currently using

Question that I have with this Nike thing. I think the current game on field jerseys are made by another company and they just have the Reebok logo slapped on them. Will this be the case with the NFL next year or is Nike making the on field jerseys too?

I'm pretty sure that nike contracts out 100% of its manufacturing to 3rd parties...so the question may be around are they planning to use the same vendors and templates as reebok?..I'm pretty sure that when reebok went exclusive all they kept production as is and changed the logo patches to reebok.

I believe Rippon in Wisconsin has been producing almost all game jerseys (regardless of manufacturer) for over 20 years. The game jerseys will likely be produced by the same company regardless of the Nike change.

I think Rippon is still the main one. My buddy at Partex will still partially (if not mostly) handle the retail authentics and replica jerseys.

He was talking about the game jerseys. Those are all made in the USA.

Also gullible isn't in the dictionary!

"Made in the USA" Doesn't = Made in the USA ... oddly enough things made in Macau are labeled "Made in the USA". You need to go online and find out if it's TRULLY "Made in the USA" or if it's only labeled as "Made in the USA" due to Free Trade, etc. People buy things that say "Made in the USA" and fat cat capitalist politicians have sold that label to the lowest bidder.

Blah blah blah. Game worn uniforms are produced in Wisconsin, which is still part of the continental United States (barely).

I specifically refrained from using "3rd world countries/overseas" which they most certainly utilize for their consumer goods but as others have pointed out game worn product has traditionally been produced domestically and would continue to do so...I don't think you can manage quality control very well for game worn gear in addition trying to get quick turnaround on product that has to clear customs quickly is no easy task.
