Hopefully Adam Foote's banner is a sign of things to come...

Sadly I doubt that...

What's with those sevens? I don't think they do anymore (and if they don't, then I don't know when they changed), but I thought the sevens, at least when Bourque was on the team, were serifed.

You are correct.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

The Mighty Ducks throwbacks proved the dye sublimation process can be used on the Edge 2.0 format.

Of course it can. We've known that for years. Reebok even told the Avs that they could carry their pre-Edge design over to the Edge template. It was the team that opted to go with the generic Reebok template, probably to sell more gear. Fans will still buy a new jersey, even if it's terrible.

Maybe Sakic and Roy being in charge changed something, but otherwise I don't see the Avs going back to their pre-Edge look unless they see that'll result in more merchandise sales.

Well the Mighty Ducks thowback is the first instance of the technique in practice on an edge jersey. I'm skeptical about the Avalanche having the option to keep their mountain striping as the Dallas Stars came right out and said that their "All Star" pattern wouldn't translate. All the Pre-Edge jerseys using diagonal stripes were not only butchered but transformed into some of the worst jerseys we've ever seen. Just look what happened to Calgary, Dallas, Nashville and even St Louis. All of those creative designs were bastardized and shoehorned onto one of RBK's dreaded "Bib Templates." If the teams had as much control as you say, I highly doubt all of them would mess up that badly.

CCM has started selling the original Avs jersey as part of its "Vintage" line. Don't know what that means about its chances for a comeback, but hey, buy that instead of the current crap.

Also, they're selling 1967-69 Oakland Seals 550 replicas. *swoon*

The Leafs told Reebok to stick it when Reebok tried to push their template crap on them. No reason to believe other teams couldn't have done so.

Here you go. Also, strangely, they're selling the eggplant Mighty Ducks jersey, but in the 550 cut with shoulder patches.

Looking at what the Leafs had to wear from '07 to '10 makes me think that Reebok still won in the end. Kinda.

Uncle Fletcher made a bad move dropping those hem stripes.

Avs now in a "vintage" line makes me feel pretty darn old. (Not to mention that some of the current prospects are younger than me by a year or two as well)

I'm hoping that someday the Wild Wing, Fishsticks, and BK are made again. It'll never happen, but I don't want to pay market price for the replicas :(.

Keep looking. I never dreamed that I'd track down a Fishsticks for $50. I hope to someday find some long-forgotten Wild Wing or Burger King
