CS85
Blackhawks lose, and for that I blame Q for putting Versteeg and Handzus out there for the final offensive faceoff draw, which Handzus promptly loses. Kings were the better team and to be honest this really wasn't that good of a Blackhawks team (scary, I know!). They had significantly weaker depth and Crawford lost a step after last year's insanity.Go Rangers but I don't wish the Kings or their fans ill.Except for Cujo, who is a humongous bandwagon [redacted] and is the very worst fan I've met on this board.Edit: I meant to say Control Rag, haha, must've been a typo. RyanMcD29
This will probably go down as the series of the decade, granted we've still got plenty to go. But man this was such an enjoyable series to watch. Should be a good Final as well. Now, I don't mind the actual players on the Rangers and love Lundqvist and stuff, but apologies to Ranger fans as there's no way in hell I can root for you. And the last thing I need is the UConn Basketball-Arsenal FA Cup-Rangers Stanley Cup triple crown from hell. So GOOOO KIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGSSSSSSSSS Twitter: @RyanMcD29
AnythingChicago
. After several seasons of being a closet Blackhawks fan, I finally decided to devote my time to this team after my interest in NHL hockey peaked this season due to this being my first season of fantasy hockey. Background story aside, it's devastating to see Chicago lose after how much time I've spent supporting the Hakes this spring, especially on a fluke goal like that. That being said, these Stanley Cup playoffs have been great. Not just the three Blackhawks' series, but the vast majority of the other series as well. It's a great time to be a hockey fan no matter what team you root for.Best of luck to the Rangers in their pursuit for their first Stanley Cup since 1994. I honestly thought it was destiny that the winner of the Kings-Blackhawks series would win the Stanley Cup because of how epic the series has been, and unfortunately I still think that. I'll be pulling for the Rangers, of course, but I just can't foresee the Kings losing. And if LA does lose, their sad excuses for fans won't even really care, at least not nearly as much as the Blackhawks faithful does now.In summary, kuck the Fings. Kramerica Industries
The MVP for the conference finals is Kenny Albert. Dude called all 13 games this round (6 on the Rangers radio network, 7 for NBC).Did something happen to Dave Strader?I wonder if NBC is grooming Albert to be Doc's successor, perhaps? I too was surprised by the absence of Strader, and not entirely pleased by it because, frankly, Strader is the best national announcer we're going to get in the deep playoff rounds in the U.S., IMO.But, back to your post, Kenny Albert is going to fly back home tonight and probably sleep for a good 20 hours or so because he must be gassed after all of this. Lights Out
I'm a :censored:ing idiot, albeit a happy one. Honestly, I'm still in a state of shock right now. As much as I bitched about the last few games, this was an amazing series. Honestly, the only series from the past few years that was anywhere near this good was last year's NBA Finals. And both teams are set up to do this again and again and again for years to come.... great for neutral hockey fans, not great for Kings and Blackhawks fans' blood pressure. Admiral's touched on it a few times that the stress/anxiety/liquidy poop that coincides with constantly dramatic playoff series' over a 2-3 month span are genuinely taxing to the point of fatigue. Winning is always, always wonderful, of course, but when you don't have a horse in the race life is insanely less of a weight to bear.New York hopefully wins and gets a ring for Henrik, or LA wins and everyone hates the Kings more than they already do. Win-Win for me in that regard. Plus the Blackhawks are probably right now in the process of cutting dead weight and putting a contract for Q in writing that forces him to play prospects.Oh who am I kidding. They're re-signing Handzus to a 5-year deal. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board.
