Jessie Chavez of the A's is wearing some really strange looking sock/stirrup hybrid in today's game vs the Astros. Looks terrible IMO.

Just for clarity, those images are from 2012. John Buck and Ricky Nolasco were not Marlins in 2013.

That is indeed from 2012, but for the record, Nolasco was a Marlin for the first half of the 2013 season. He was traded to the Dodgers shortly before the deadline.

Teams used to use different grays a few years ago. Majestic had problem making Coolbase jerseys in gray which matched the pants, so when they finally found a match, they gave that shade to all teams (and of course adjusted their pants accordingly). I think it's dumb that these teams were forced to use one gray. Some teams would look better with a slight hue to their jerseys, such as the Royals going with blue.

The Marlins original road unis from 93 to the earlier 2000s were the best of this era, with the slightly teal tinted shade of gray.

Most images I have seen dont show it clearly, but in person wheh they played the Rays I saw a difference.

It's probably just your eyes playing tricks, every once in a while I feel the Dodgers are useing a blueish grey, but really they are just useing the same grey as everyone else.

I thought The Dodgers wore blue-grey away jerseys for decades. I guess some colors just blend well with the grey and Dodger Blue is one of those colors.

"Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong." Dennis Miller

You're right, thanks. Surprised I made that mistake but I realize why I did. He was traded to the Dodgers and I remember a Dodgers trade in 2012 also, but I was thinking of the Hanley trade.

Just pull his pant legs down a bit and they'll look great.

This is what they should be wearing.

MLB needs to put a stop to this and the A's aren't the only team. Several Mariners players wear their new stripes socks, but then a few wear plain blue socks. Andrew McCutchen wears striped socks recently, but his teammates are in plain black. The league needs to get things uniform.

It's really rinky dink to have players on the same team wearing different socks. Each team needs to pick a sock option and that is the only sock players from that team are allowed to wear.

This is more about MiLB, but I didn't know where to exactly put it...

A couple months ago I bought this Orioles hat:

http://m.lids.com/MLB/Baltimore-Orioles/20741258

I love it because of the alternate logo used and now I've grown to like alternate logos. I'm down in Arkansas near Little Rock as I type this and I wanted to buy something from the Arkansas Travelers as kind of a memory of being down here so I decided to buy a hat. I looked online and found a BP hat that is supposedly new. I searched around the mall and other stores and couldn't find it. So, I had to resort to buying it online for a cool $37. The hat you may ask?:

I personally think I made a great purchase. Any thoughts?

P.S. Sorry for the links I'm on my phone

P.S.S. if this post needs to be moved somewhere else, Mods please do accordingly

Twins wearing their red BP jerseys in Cleveland.

And again tonight. I don't think it's even 80°.

I don't know this but I suspect they wore it the first time due to their recent inability to win games. They won, which probably led to wearing it the second night. Losing 17-4 on night 2 could put a stop it it.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Haven't seen a Houston cap in person, but side by side Atlanta and Seattle are the same midnight navy as the Yanks.

I think the lighter-colored bills might, um, color the way the caps look.

Just ducked in a Lids - the Astros use the midnight navy. As do the Twins. So by my count it's the Rays, Padres and Brewers with the lighter navy, and everyone else using the exact same midnight navy.

FWIW, the Mariners alts are the lighter royal.
