I was hoping the Sharks would get the win, but also just get through the rest of the game without anymore players getting injured. Really, did anyone else how many Oilers and Sharks were doing unintentional slides on the bench side of the ice? Don't tell me that the ice is that bad already. I mean I understand bad ice in San Jose in April/May, but in December? Maybe that on-ice pot hole in Edmonton started spawning elsewhere...Nice to see Goodrow get his first NHL point, and Karlsson get his first NHL point in his NHL debut. Yeah, the Dallas arena staff needs to take their chirping down a few hundred notches. It works for the Kings because they've won two championships in three years. The Stars as constituted might not want try anything more disagreeable than "hey, guys, let's play a hockey game!" In fact, when you lead the league in getting scored on and not even remotely close to the next team on the list, you should probably just sit quietly with your hands folded and just have the jumbotron run your favorite old AfterDark screen-savers. I just got around to watching the Habs' tribute to Jean Beliveau. They're not going to announce any more sellouts for the rest of the year because they're going to leave his seat open.
