A Buffalo sports media guy was on Toronto radio earlier... seemed pretty giddy that the Bills were (finally!?) doing something to address RB by acquiring a guy with so many carries & touches, it can only be a great thing for Rex Ryan.

Uhh... aging RBs with too many carries & touches isn't usually a great thing moving forward. Oh well, lols Bills.

Why do people keep saying this?? McCoy is only 26.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

He's not aging but he does have some wear. Most RBs seem to have a short shelf life. But I think he still has a couple more productive seasons left.

He will turn 27 in July.

From 26 to 27 starts the production drop off:

The Washington Post (among others like PFF) discuss it here.

Plus, there was an issue which McCoy still had in complying to Kelly's methods. That includes the "black socks issue" which was mentioned in ESPN The Magazine last August.

Chip taking total control of football operations is THE experiment to watch in the next two seasons. He may not win a Super Bowl, but 20-12 in the first two years without control of football operations is pretty good. Even with cash to spend, his "control" over players (individual water bottles, specialized smoothies, sleep monitors, and blood tests) may not attract the key free agents because of its invasion to the one's life off the field, but as I said in the 2014 season thread, the NFLPA

Getting really sick of reading cringeworthy Bears fans pining for Marshall and Cutler to return. Just be gone already.

+ Rex Ryan will be going all-in for his own rep, feeding a guy with huge touches with even more touches these next couple years.

+ Matt Cassel at QB.

I'm not saying it's a damning trade, they really didn't give up too much. It's just a reach to suggest he's a playoff meal ticket like Buffalo media sounded like.

If Suh ends up in Miami, Buffalo is gonna have a long season.

Patriots cut Vince Wilfork. I can see him returning for less money, if he can't find what he wants on the open market.

Yep, he instagram'd a very sincere heartfelt letter for all.

I could see the Lions goin' for him. Suh's lame attitude subtraction coupled with a Wilfork veteran leadership addition to that locker room would be a no brainer.

Bears ship Marshall to the NY Jets. Now he can do Inside the NFL without traveling and openly hurl Cutler, Trestman, and Kromer under the bus without fear of reprisal.

I really do hope they come to a compromise and he comes back. He's been one of my favorite players for a long time now. Plus, his presence was definitely missed when he was down a season ago.

He then deep-fried it and washed it down with some gravy....

Suh to the Dophins being spoken of "as if it already happened." Hooray for no state income tax!

Cobb gives Packers hometown discount.

@RapSheet: Randall Cobb and the #Packers have reached a 4-year deal worth $40M, source said (as @AdamSchefter said 1st).

Randall Cobb had 6-7 offers today, I’m told. He turned down considerably more money elsewhere to sign with the #Packers.

Big pickup for the Phins. He's exactly what they need to go 9-7 and just miss the playoffs again.
