I disagree. :)

Blah, blah, blah. Good for you.

So since these series have been mirroring each other, Blues win a tough one tomorrow or not.

Or not, cause that'd be cool too.

MAF is trash in the playoffs. Murray might've been struggling, but looking back, he's the reason the Pens have gotten this far. Bonehead decision by Sullivan. Hopefully Pittsburgh can pull it out in 7.

Please please please please please Tampa pull this one out for me, if you beat the Pens I'll have no loyalties in the playoffs left and can actually just enjoy the games!

Let's be fair here though, MAF is in a tough situation.  Thrown into a game 5 of a tied series when you haven't played in two months, if there was a 'bonehead' move, and I don't really even want to say it is, because the logic is perfectly understandable, I think the move would have been to put MAF in Games 1 and 2, let him get game action and if it goes to total crap you're down 0-2 and forced to win four out of five, not an impossible scenario.  But now MAF has to get back up to speed in must win games, and if it falls apart, which is looking probable now, MAF is going to get crucified, which is total bull :censored:.

Finally, I'm not trying to be a fatalist on this, but one thing I've learned in my life watching the Pens is to never get your hopes up in a home Game 7, their record sucks, with the last win I believe being against Washington in '95.

That loss is on Sullivan. He overreacted to Murray's first truly bad game and went with a guy who hasn't played in months. I'll take a guy who might be a little fatigued over rusty. Also, he's the reason you beat the Rangers and he's the reason you beat the Capitals. Dance with the girl who brung ya.

All things considered Fluery didn't look all that bad until late in the 3rd. The tying goal felt inevitable after Callahan beat him but hit the post and if you spend an entire game collapsing 4 guys on defense it'll eventually wear you out. I was not surprised at all when Tampa tied it late and then won early in overtime. Shades of Game 4 of the 2014 first round that only I remember.

Not that the Lightning appearing in back-to-back finals is an ideal result, but it's better than Pittsburgh experiencing any more sports joy. You've had enough.

For me, if the Predators and Coyotes are out of it, I usually root for the team with the longest Cup drought/playoff appearance, sometimes I may pull for a market that could use the boost in interest. Non-traditional markets having success is good for the game, as a whole. More fans means more money, more money means more kids developing their talent, across the board, which means more quality.

Naturally, a SC isn't a garuantee of long-term viability, as the Hurricanes have shown, but Tampa is a good example of how it can be.

Yeah, this year, I'm pulling for the Blues. My dad isn't a big hockey fan, but he always follows the playoffs if the Blues are in it, so he's happy.

Someone should really tell that #BANG guy that the Stars already got eliminated.

The Stars' brother is playing still. Remember the lineage (if we chose to believe in the un-merger):

Oakland/California Seals/Golden Seals/Seals

                |

Cleveland Barons---Minnesota North Stars

                                              |

                                Minnesota North Stars

                                 |                               |

              San Jose Sharks                Dallas Stars

The Sharks have the legacies of a failed NHL team, a Cleveland team, and a Minnesota team!

Oh boy...

Sharks haven't played real well tonight, yet are still tied. Probably because the Blues haven't played real well tonight, either.
