I wasn’t able to watch the game, but after watching the highlights I can confidently say the better team won on Tuesday. I had a suspicion that LAFC was ripe for an upset, because of playing so quickly right after the high of beating our crosstown rivals and because Seattle is actually a good team, unlike the Galaxy. It sucks to lose being so close to a championship, but I’d rather lose to a good team like Seattle than Carson. Also, I am very disappointed to hear that LAFC fans were throwing trash onto the field... Twice now, in our two seasons, fans have reacted poorly when things weren’t going our way. I'd make a comparison to the University of Texas but at least they have billions in endowments to show for destroying the Southwest Conference and nearly destroying the Big XII. In other parts of the world they think the Cosmos should be playing in MLS because they're still the biggest name in US soccer. Being reported that they’re not that eager and fear reprisals from USSF if they do take Rocco on. Which seems insane. I imagine the Federation would welcome the Cosmos finding a home in a league and at a level Cosmos said couldn’t happen as part of their lawsuit.
