NBA Changes 2019-20

The Knicks have a decent roster this year from free agency, for the first time since 2013. However, every single other decision they make is stupid. Front office. Draft picks. Trades. And especially uniforms.

The Nets are interested in being a smart, well-run franchise that also works to reflect the aesthetic sensibilities and preferences of the community it resides in. The Knicks are more ":censored: you, got your money" and it's a shame. Knicks fans deserve better.

Nope.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Atlanta Peach to honor the State nickname and Ty Cobb, Georgia Native as "The Georgia Peach"

I'm sorry, but being from Atlanta, there isn't any reason to draw uniform inspiration from Ty Cobb, especially in the NBA. It's only a nod to "The Peach State", nothing more.

wow, those are pretty boring. especially compared to their normal blue jersey. Same with their old white statement jersey.

they’re really terrified of going back to orange, aren’t they lmao

Could at least put Knicks on them lol

I think this is hilarious. The Knicks braintrust clearly thinks as little about this cashgrab uniform scheme as the rest of us, and I’m glad they’re making a show of it. Good for them! Only smart move in recent Knicks history.

They put as much effort in the alternatives as they do putting together a decent team.

Updates: (how am I doing @Conrad.)

I expect the Knicks City edition to be an Orange version of last year's Fauxback with the Skyline on the shorts.

I expect the Sixers City edition to be Blue honoring the Liberty Bell.

Bulls Statement will be Black with red pinstripes but say "Chicago" instead of "Bulls". City edition will be Columbia Blue version of last year's city flag set.

Pacers Statement will be another boring Navy color and the City edition will be Royal Blue honoring Reggie Miller's rookie year.

Bucks Statement will be a modified Fear the Dear and will be Black with Lime lettering/numbers. City Edition will be Red honoring the original Bucks secondary color.

Orlando Statement will be a modified Blue Version of their previous Icon set. City will be Orange honoring the Florida Orange groves.

Washington Bullets will be all Navy without the Red across the top of the uniforms and the City will be White to honor the White House.

Charlotte will be Purple again with modifications and the City will be gold to honor the Arena nickname "Buzz City"

Dallas City will be Navy honoring the Dallas area artwork of the millenials and also have the Margret Hunt Bridge silhouetted as well.

Portland Statement will again be Red with modifications and the City will be Black with Lime Green coloring to honor the Oregon Trail.

Phoenix Statement will be Orange and the City edition will be Sedona Red/Orange to honor the Arizona desert.

Boston Gold to honor the parquet floor of Boston Garden

Toronto Gold version of last year's set

Miami "Crockett" Blue Miami Vice

Atlanta Peach to honor the State nickname and Ty Cobb, Georgia Native as "The Georgia Peach"

Cleveland Navy/Gold to honor 50 years in Cleveland

Detroit Red Version of last year's set to honor the Automobile industry

Houston Red to honor NASA 50th Anniversary

San Antonio Aqua/Black Fiesta Colors

Memphis Gold to honor Beale Street

New Orleans Green/Purple/Gold to honor Mardigras

Denver Blue version of last year's set

Utah Solid White Version of previous set

Minnesota Wolf Gray honoring Minnesota Winters

Lakers Gold with Black Pinstripes honoring Magic Johnson

Clippers Black to honor the "Blue Collar" work ethic of L.A. over the "Hollywood" Lakers

Sacramento Carolina Blue but modified like previous two sets

I'll call it 12ish correct guesses of main colors for the above quoted uniforms that we havent seen officially unveiled or leaked. Not bad. 👍

If a teams jersey doesn't differ much from one to another, the NBA needs to lay some laws and rules down. But I guess consumers are the true judges and juries. Stop buying the same crap.

I'm Sad we'll likely see the blue statements at home and their other blue whatever you call them road jerseys on the road.

I miss the days. White/black/blue. Or white/blue/orange. Heck, four colors is fine. But two jerseys way too similar? That's beyond a joke. And I love basic jerseys and I love the double outline numbers. If that's your blue jersey for the year, own up to it and use it

Suns having orange statement uni's this year basically confirmed, perhaps other reveals for other teams will be coming soon.

Received this earlier via text...making the rounds on twitter as well. Unsure of the authenticity (also admittedly did not go too far back in thread to see if already shared) but here ya go.

Wouldn’t be upset if this was it. The number font is a tad curious because it seems like they could have used same 80s number font.

On Twitter, @Conrad. is saying that these aren't real. It's too bad, because I think I would've been okay with something like this. Did anyone else own the Nike Rewind?spacer.png

This was built on the nike teamwear website using "NIKE DIGITAL ELITE POSTERIZE JERSEY" template and "KANSAS" font

It'll be interested to see how this influences courts moving forward. Ever since the Bucks came out with their "Fear the Deer" black heavy court more and more teams having been getting alternate courts. I wonder if we'll see more courts like the Nets?

I do believe though that it's actually the Kings fault as they originally brought out an alternate court for the powder throwbacks prior to any other team going alternate court.
