Always thought the same thing. Considering their statement jersey is another white jersey with no huge differences it would have made sense if it said “Knicks” so it could have that bigger difference from their regular white jerseys. Their "primary icon" is now the '76' logo and it will be on both the Association and Icon uniform shorts starting next season. upperV03
^They unveiled that logo back in February. They changed their profile pic because they are unveiling a special 50th season court later today at the VMC, at least according to Casey Holdahl:

upperV03
Here’s the Blazers’ special 50th season court: https://www.nba.com/amp/blazers/forwardcenter/trail-blazers-unveil-new-court-celebrating-50th-anniversary-season?__twitter_impression=true I’m a bit disappointed (but not at all surprised) to see them put the 50th season logo at mid court instead of the standard pinwheel, but other than that I absolutely love this court design. The red on the outside of the court and the off-white/red keys are very reminiscent of some of their earliest court designs: And the best part of the whole court is the retro word marks on the baselines. All around this is a very solid look IMO, and one that will look great not only with their standard uniforms but also will the classic edition uniform that they will almost certainly have for this season. It’s also nice to note that they sanded down and repainted last season’s court to create this special floor for this season. That also means that there will be a new court for next season, though it remains to be seen if that’ll just look like last season’s court again or feature a new design. I was worried they’d have a black and gold 50th anniversary court like the Hawks had last season and that they wore with their City uniforms. I’m really glad to see them come up with a clean and classic court design that takes elements from some of their past courts. 4 minutes ago, kimball said: Are there plans for them to plan a game in the Coliseum ala Milwaukee and The MECCA? They should. They’ll be playing their first preseason game in the Coliseum, on October 8th against the Nuggets. They did the same thing ten years ago for their 40th anniversary, so it’s nice to see them do it again. Kind of a shame it’s just a preseason game, but logistically speaking it’s much less of a headache to have a preseason game at the VMC instead of a regular season game. It seems odd that they would set up the court in the Coliseum if they weren’t going to play there. EDIT: See above. Satomiblood
I love that they painted the key white and red. The Memorial Coliseum court is one of my all-time favorite looks, so I appreciate the partial homage. That’s a court scheme that’s pretty unique to the Blazers and one I wish they hadn’t gotten away from originally.
