3. Used the scull/swords logo

Why are you so dead-set on getting rid of the flag? The skull and sword logo is, in my opinion, a distant third behind both Bucco Bruce and the full flag logo.

Also, I am pretty sure the Raiders had a slight issue with the crossed swords flag logo upon release in the 90s, and removing the flag and using the logo alone might stir up more tension.

If true, I think it'd be great if they:

1. Removed the black

2. Darkened the pewter so it could act as the black

3. Used the scull/swords logo

4. Nixed the double outlines

I'm actually working on a concept for the Bucs right now with the same idea -- I wanted to darken the pewter to remove the black. My line of thinking was to completely remove black/silver from the equation. Let the Raiders own that color scheme, especially with the Bucs having a similar identity.

I like to tinker with logos before making a concept to establish the color palette I intend to use, and this is what I had come up with. I think it looks great!

That looks really nice. Would be kinda cool if you could get Bucco Bruce's hat to look good atop the skull, just to really merge the two identities together, but it's a nice logo regardless.

I would have no issue with this.  It would simplify the color palette by removing the unnecessary black and silver, but still have colors with a nice Light/dark balance.

Can you possibly put this logo on blank and red backdrops?  Im curious.

That’s not bad. It still keeps the current trash ass logo package, but if they’re going to mix the eras, that’s the way to do it.

Thats also precisely why they wont do that and will release some over complicated crap that nobody likes.

To me the most successful designs makes use of the least amount of elements while providing the most visual impact. The flag is unnecessary and only clutters a very nice concept/design. In addition, it is what I feel is a perfect compromise between the Bucco and the Flag.

I disagree on both counts.

First, the skull and swords alone don't really invoke Bruce, so I don't see it as a compromise.
Secondly, I don't think the flag clutters it up at all. The flag is a necessary part of the logo. It's a jolly roger. It doesn't work without the flag.
