Ugh, I'm trying to get the Saint Seiya OP out of my head. Pegasasu fantaji so sa yume dake wa / Dare mo ubaenai kokoro no tsubasa dakara...

Either way, Radom made the best of an awful name and ownership's demands.

Due to my current job, I got to spend a little time behind the scenes with this team earlier this year. So, I will withhold my personal opinions. But this just seems to fall flat in SO many ways.

EDIT: Good Lord... after scrolling their Facebook page and seeing full logos and merchandise, this just reeks of being thrown together in 10 minutes, generic, and sticks out as not being cohesive with the rest of the Copa collection.

Looks like the Paddleheads may be a short term name. If Rob Manfred gets his way, they will be one of the 42 teams contracted to "save money." The Connecticut Soon to Be Rebrandeds are also on that 42 team list.

If the plan takes effect, the indy-pro and summer-collegiate league bosses should send him a fruit basket to thank him for the new markets opening up for them.

The problem is, if it does go into effect, many of the said markets will just give up on competitive baseball completely.

The CCSLC's resident Geelong Cats fan.

Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. Sounds like something from a Rocky & Bullwinkle story arc.

Aren't they supposed to be creating a "dream league" (hate that term) with the "eliminated" organizations? I take that to mean a MILB/MLB controlled Indy League, which to me, makes a lot of sense. Why bog down rosters at 10 levels for a team when they can concentrate on those they believe have a future with only four levels. Then all the players who don't make the cut, would have this league to showcase for any potential affiliated deal. They'd probably get even more playing time because the top prospects wouldn't be in these leagues. At least that's how I've come to understand it to operate based on what I've read, which admittedly, hasn't been a lot. Still believe that is the better plan, though.
