The Patriots won the Super Bowl the year of Deflategate. Let it go.

And the "whistleblower" Colts have stumbled like their pilled-up idiot owner ever since. Indeed, let it go.

Andrew Luck thankfully got his money and got out before his body completely gave out due to a non-existent o-line and conditioning program.

So, apparently Kyler Murray is mad at the Cardinals? Rumblings (mostly due to vague Insta posts) that he may want to come to Tampa?

Like, why? What does he have to be mad about? The Cards played WAY above their heads last year and were contenders.

Shaping up to be a real weird off season.

Basically any team with any white coach on its staff that might be hired away should make them do a Ancestry test and hope that they find some trace of non-white blood so that they can get draft picks.

Then when coaching doesn't work out, they can run for president and lose the primary in their own state

Why can't the NFL be more like the NBA?

It kinda just was in Tampa.

Also, the notion of Lovie being one of the worst coaches of all time is absurd. One of the most frustrating, but not bad. When you consider how tenuously assembled the Bears were outside of Urlacher, Hester, and Tillman, three of the best to ever play their positions (Hester was arguably the best), it's remarkable that from 2005 onward he never went worse than 7-9. He was able to do that because his guys ran through brick walls for him. Usually the brick walls were built by Jerry Angelo's terrible drafting, but they ran through them nevertheless. After the gong shows of Marc Trestman and Matt Nagy, I can't imagine anyone in Chicago still has an ill word for Lovie Smith.

EDIT: Lance Briggs was really good too

Without a qb they’ve got no chance, and there aren’t many options out there. Minshew mania in Houston?

Is Goodell the most corrupt commissioner in the NFL? Or is he just laughably incompetent?

Between this, the Zeke suspension, Flores lawsuit, and the obvious fact they're desperately trying to cover up Snyder's history of abuse, the NFL is giving DC a run for it money on who can be more corrupt.

I wonder where Goddell would rank among the Big 4 Sports commissioners?

I think they believe they have something in Davis Mills.  Besides, I don't think Minshew is the type of QB Jack Easterby wants.

Any answer other than Manfred is simply wrong. The others range from bland but decent (Silver) to incompetent (Goodell and Bettman) but Manfred is actively killing baseball and is reveling in it.

I’d argue that he’s just giving owners free reign to do what they always wanted to do, which is what’s been hurting the sport since the days of mass collusion in the ‘80s. The owners threw out Fay Vincent for opposing it, FFS. Selig and Manfred knew/kniw to just give the owners what they want, which explains the current state of the game (along with a weak players’ association).

I mean, the long term negative consequences for baseball's public perception from blowing up the minor league system, at the behest of people who got busted for cheating really blatantly, should put Manfred in front right there.

I'd estimate that only 1 out of 100 people know anything about the minor league thing.  Your average person that's 1) not in an impacted city, and 2) not posting on internet message boards probably doesn't even know that anything changed.

Or they think it's improved. I love the fact that the St. Paul Saints are now the Twins' AAA club.  I also used to live next to a short-season Single A club, the Hillsboro Hops, that moved up to High A. If I still lived there, which I don't, that would have been a huge upgrade. .

@LMU Any chance we can add a "whatever" reaction? It sure would come in handy.
