It was such an obvious move to make, and would have lead to tons of new merch with the gold-star script. Two gold stars to commemorate two WS Championships. damnyoutuesday
After seeing many photos and videos from spring training, I'm not 100% against the smaller NOB font. It works for single layer lettering like the Dodgers, but looks god awful for any lettering with an outline like the Mets. And the Twins custom font with single layer lettering, I seriously can't tell the difference from last year 2 Quote Sorry, I'm on an iPad

A benefit of getting new uniforms within the Nike design window. BadSeed84
From reddit: The shirtseys have holes in the numbers (And I'm going to guess it doesn't matter if the team has the holes or not in their jerseys) I give them 2 washes at most before they form cracks easily. 2
Bill0813
Quote The Orioles are still trying to fill one of their biggest sponsorship opportunities, its jersey patch sponsor. Close to half of the league’s team have jersey sponsors, which can come with hefty price tags. The New York Yankees currently have the largest jersey sponsor deal with Starr Insurance reportedly paying the team $25 million a year, according to Sportico. Brightman said the Orioles are currently talking to a number of brands about a jersey patch partnership. “We are actively engaged in discussions about our jersey patch opportunity. A lot of those companies are locally based, but we are talking with a couple of national brands too,” Brightman said. “The company that secures that opp will be part of the fabric of the uniform and the franchise and will reap the benefits of our brand.” https://www.bizjournals.com/baltimore/news/2024/03/13/orioles-increase-season-tickets-sponsors-2024.html 1

Yeah I remember that. I worked for a group that did apparel printing and stitching for the Seattle sports teams (One of the things I had a focus on was heat pressing the names and numbers on the Seattle Sounders game kits) around then and we produced two different types of Mariners player T’s. Just the regular old printed one, which for the Mariners with the silver and teal on a navy shirt looked AWESOME. But we also printed the same shirts where we tried to add coated layers that gave the numbers some depth and print that looked like the stitching around the numbers and letters. They were an absolute pain in the ass to create, took forever, cost a ton more to produce, and completely looked like :censored:. With 90% of their national sales in Baltimore, they don't have the resource to pay for such a deal. Kevin Plank, from Maryland, does. How about an Under Armour sleeve patch on a Nike jersey?

Leviathan
Interesting that the 2024 Rays media guide cover photo has players in the old Nike/Majestic template. And it's not even last year's uniforms because last year they replaced the devil ray sleeve patch with the 25th anniversary patch.
BBTV
Phillies broadcasters during a preseason game today: "Looks like someone's taking over at first base. Based on the number, it's [some random guy]. We can't tell if he's got a nameplate or not, but maybe he doesn't because he's a [lowest level] player. Or maybe he does - we can't tell who's got a name from up here anymore." 5 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed."
