It's either part of the uniform or it's not, and I'd rather see plain socks on any team where some players will show socks and others will tuck their pants into their shoes. They would've been better off keeping the plain black stockings.I love the Cardinals' striped socks, though. And there's really very little reason to update it. Maybe the NYC skyline has changed somewhat since the 60s, but it's a timeless logo, really, and it perfectly defines "Mets."
