1 year, 8 mil. Not the ideal outfield candidate I would've wanted them to get, but I guess it shows at least some effort.

Still... they need to get rid of that dumbass Mozalek.

What's all the bitching about? Mo's done fine and this is a great pickup, although he's a health risk.

Now the Cards have TWO All-Star caliber First basemen, one a future Hall of Famer, and the Brewers are struggling to figure out what to do with theirs.

I just don't know what to do sometimes. I know Prince is an injury away, or serious lung infection away, have you seen him cough, from damage but he's what we've got and "homegrown" too. Part of me want's to see him go for QUALITY pitching, but that probably won't happen. If the Crew keeps him through Spring Training into next year, then I hope that there is some plan in place. Either by signing D. Lee maybe, or someone who could step in and hold decent ground if Prince is a mid season trade. Although, if it's D.Lee the writing may be on the wall if it happens.

I just haven't heard anything from Brewers camp yet this off-season save for the "Hinske" thing, which I wasn't a huge fan of. I'm not hearing anything here on any TV or radio about possible rumors or speculation. I know that Doug likes to keep things "behind closed doors," but this is worrying me. In 2008, the Brewers became the talk re-guarding the CC deal, and that happened. And last year, they were in the mix for Wolf, and that happened.

Oh yeah, CV12(Carlos Villanueva) has been traded to Toronto for a player to be named, hmm?

Life as a Brewers fan in the modern age. Been dealing with it all my life so I should be used to it lol. I guess I'm just sick of "new boss, same as the old boss." Promises, promises.

More to come later, maybe....lol

He's had some decent moves, but overall he's not been all that great at all. He was brought in simply because he was friends with the owners after firing Walt Jocketty because had one subpar season after being named the Executive of the Year for what, 2 years in a row? What was the need of sending one of our better bats (Ludwick) to San Diego to get Westbrook from Cleveland, when all the Padres did was send a minor league pitcher to Cleveland? If you watched the ceremony retiring Whitey's number this past season, he was booed by the crowd when introduced. He's been passive when he needs to be aggressive and has not made many smart decisions when he's actually done something.

 Woah, I didn't see that one coming at all. I'm a bit bummed the Giants weren't able to pull the trigger on Werth, but it's pretty refreshing to see guys signing in places other than New York or Boston. Good for the Nationals, Harper and Werth in the outfield with Strasburg (if his arm holds up) as their ace should scare the hell outta the NL East in a year or two.

I'm ecstatic he didn't sign here. I think he will be a relative bust and for that money, Washington can take him. Much rather the FO go all-in on Crawford and/or Lee, and extending Gonzalez. (Although it seems like that deadline has passed or something...?)

Thrilled with the Werth signing! Nats are at the point that if they want a FA, they have to overpay for them.

HOWEVUH, if the Nats leave without a 1B and a SP, consider the Werth signing...werthless?

Yeah, not sure how this makes sense for the Nats. They're really not that close to take such a big gamble by overpaying a guy with only 3 decent years. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for the Phillies to have kept him (it ain't my money!) but there's really no guarantee that he will maintain this level consistently, and be productive outside of the Phillies lineup. For any team that was close and needed a right handed bat, 15 M/ year would have been fine. 18? Seriously? Good for him though - can't blame a guy for cashing in.

The Phillies always seem to have plans B, C, and D lately. I'm sure RAJ knew they weren't going to be able to keep him, so they must have a right-handed bat on their radar. Domonic Brown is LH, and had a horrible winter season, so I no longer expect him to be in the opening day lineup - unless they find some sucker to take Ibanez. They simply have too many left handers. Possible platoon in right? I'm extremely curious to see what happens now. I'm just glad he didn't boost any of the NL contenders' lineups.
