shaydre1019
Here is what I would have done:Great rendering. But, brings to mind something that's long bugged me. Can't a helmet snap be created in such a way that it doesn't cover up parts of the logo on the helmet? There must be a way around this.Haha when I played I had excess stripe so I cut it into pieces and put it on the strap to match my decal which was th same color so the logo wasn't interrupted

The_Admiral
That looks really cool, but the People Who Know insist it's still gonna be a silver helmet, sooo. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
29texan
That looks really cool, but the People Who Know insist it's still gonna be a silver helmet, sooo.It still looks better. I mean, their mascot is a PANTHER, why not a black helmet? Looks great.

WSU151
It almost looks real...only problem is official helmets have the NFL Shield outlined in white...That Panthers decal looks to be a multi-piece decal. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
richie923
It almost looks real...only problem is official helmets have the NFL Shield outlined in white...That Panthers decal looks to be a multi-piece decal. They did away with the keyline on the NFL logo so it didn't stand out. They didn't want the Panther to be seen.
FiddySicks
This was recently posted on FacebookNow THAT'S what I'm talking about! Large, die cut logo. That's exactly how I pictured it, and that would be VERY unique, and not like the Jags or Ravens. Oh boy, I hope. Quillz
The decal seems a little large, but otherwise I like it. Too bad that's not what the team is going with, though.

Cujo
With the Panthers' new black helmet being so popular, is it possible that the Panthers and the NFL could switch tracks, abort the silver helmet and go black this late in the game?
Quillz
With the Panthers' black helmet being so popular, is it possible that the Panthers and the NFL could switch tracks, abort the silver helmet and go black this late in the game?Doubtful. The reason the NFL requires at least a 2-year notice before changing a team's look is because there are so many contracts with apparel makers of both authentics and replicas. If the Panthers want to switch to black helmets, I'd guess we won't seem them until the 2014 season at the earliest.I remember when Georgia Frontiere died, the Rams were unable to wear a memorial patch until the following season because she died past the NFL's deadline for changes. Not bad at all.Definitely looks good, but the thing that makes me skeptical is the location the picture was taken, and the fact that 99% of new helmets nowadays are displayed on Revo Speed helmets. robbman21
A VERY close look at the shell also looks like it's been spray-painted black instead of being molded in black plastic.
bigdub81
Couple of reasons I don't buy this being there helmet: 1) Look at the neighborhood it's taken in! Sorry to say, but that doesn't seem like an area even someone working for the team that could even get a helmet, would be living in! 2) The helmet is spray painted, not dyed. Look at the reflection of the white van/jeep and you can see that it is not smooth, rather showing that it might have been a different color. Also, black is a hard color to spray as in many instances it has to be thinned. 3) The logo although nicely situated, there are too many bubbles under the surface that would keep the logo from sticking. The majority of pro/college teams use heavy 3M decals that can withstand abuse while this one looks as though it was created on a Cricut bought at a Walmart! 4) No outline around the league logo and they are not that big on authentic helmets
Pizzaman7294
Just trying to ripoff the teal tongue just with sliver uh huh lol ! Anyways didn't if anyone noticed the Seahawks official twitter page ? Or if I'm late to the party.Just checked it out, actually the Jags tongue is awesome. Never gave it a proper look before.Theirs is one of the best modern logo in the NFL. Up there with the Seahawks.Megadittos! Brilliant observation, if I do say so myself.what exactly are we looking at here?
