I'm a bit bummed that the helmets don't seem to have the old Rainbow Warriors logo on them.

Yeah the helmet needs a logo. Either the UH-rainbow that's on the pants, or the super-arced rainbow with the warrior.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Stanford likes to take OL/DL and put them in on offense to block. They have them wear an eligible receiver number when they do it so they could go out for a pass.

The bold sounds completely made up. Is there photo proof of this? NCAA rules don't specify what numbers you have to wear to catch a pass. A center wearing #8 doesn't make him automatically eligible. He still has to report to the refs just like if he was wearing #72.

You can try to research it but I remember watching a game(Notre Dame maybe) when Harbaugh started doing it. A game or two after that the broadcast showed the player putting on the eligible number on the sidelines. In HS/college you don't have to report a number unless it is an ineligible number that you want eligible. If they wear an eligible number then they don't have to report it. Eligible numbers are 1-49, 80-99 in college I believe. The NFL has a lot more stricter rules on (in)eligible numbers.

A center wearing #8 isn't eligible because of the number. It's because he's covered up by G/T/TE/WR.

Rumors are flying of WVU unveiling a new helmet against Texas tonight. If true, I'm expecting the state outline somewhere on the helmet.

The speculation I'm hearing is that the helmet will be white... But look how the crowd will look:

To me, having a white helmet on a stripe the stadium game wouldn't make much sense. Hopefully if there is a new helmet it's blue or gold.

Hawaii looks awesome. Would be even better with the UH rainbow logo on the helmets.

Watching Wake Forest/FSU now and Wake really needs to update their uniforms. The matte black helmet they're wearing would look a lot better with a gold logo instead of black too.

If true, it has to be a nightmare for the pressbox when an OL/DL changes numbers and makes a catch.

I guess there is a new rule for 2013 that says is a player changes numbers during the game (no matter the number), he must report to the referee and the referee will announce it.

Agreed...not sure why they went with the black logo.

The following is a tweet for the LSU Football Equipment Twitter account:

@LSUFBEquipment: A little extra love for the uniform from @usnikefootball for tonight's game. More to come later....

Part of me is EXTREMELY worried about this. I'm hoping the powers that be didn't let Nike go crazy. It doesn't appear that will be the case.....but with the uniform craziness going on this season you can't be too sure anymore.

Why?! Tonight had the potential to be a beautiful matchup. Hopefully it's just the gloves or something small.

That's what I'm praying for.....special gloves or cleats.

ASU is wearing all white with the maroon single side pitchfork helmet today vs Utah. Same helmet they wore against SC.
