Oh yeah and hey Toronto I hope you enjoyed the ending. It all evens out in the end, doesn't it.

Oh I did....

In my world, it looks more like this:

Hehe :D

Though I posted the Khan clip more for the "I shall leave you as you left me" in reference to Boston losing in a similar fashion as the Leafs earlier in the playoffs.

I was at nhl.com looking to watch the end of the game and some of the celebration again... apparently whoever decides the three stars of the game tried to beat the traffic on the way out. These are the official three stars:

1st: Milan Lucic - 1G, 0A

2nd: Duncan Keith - 0G, 1A

3rd: Tyler Seguin - 0G, 1A

Most 3 stars have to be decided with at least 5 minutes to go. I know the Conn Smythe votes had to be in by the 10:00 mark of the 3rd period.

So if the Bruins forced game 7, would they have re-voted?

Or if it's game 7, do they get an "if Boston wins" vote and an "if Chicago wins" vote?

On a slightly off-beat note, what was the concensus on Fall Out Boy's "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'Em Up)" as the official anthem of the playoffs?

I'm not a monstrous fan of the band, and only a lukewarm fan of the song by itself, but when in tandem with playoff highlights, I thought it was awesome.

The WWE's favorite bandwaggoner:

How do we know he's a bandwagoner?

Also, Best in the World.

I've followed him on twitter for 3 years and it wasn't until this years playoffs that he ever mentioned hockey, the Blackhawks or any sport outside of MMA.

No because 5 times the Smythe has gone to a member of the losing team, Mao recently in 2003.

Outside of their name (quality Simpsons reference) I can't stand Fall Out Boy and the Blue Jackets were using that song for "pump up" videos on the big screen back in January so for me the "big hits, angry faces, blood, sweat, tears, hockey, shot of the red goal light (em up)" montage is pretty well worn territory.

Still better than when TBS played Tinie Tempah's "Written in the Stars" during the baseball playoffs a couple years ago to the point that all the words lost all meaning. That was the worst use of music to set a sporting mood that I can remember.

The TSN panel said it best. I can't remember the exact words but they were to the effect of, "Earlier this year we were outside the NHL offices talking about HRR and now we just had an original six Finals after a great season".

And remember all those internet and facebook "fans" saying they will never affiliate themselves with the NHL because of the lockout. I wonder where they are now?

You know, they only played 48 games regular season games and a normal postseason, but this season feels like it's been going on forever. It might be because I usually tune out for about two months after the draft and the first day of free agency, but this season I was reading lockout reports as soon as the Kings were handed the cup. I can't wait to get back to a normal 82 game, 6 and a half month regular season. I also can't wait for a taste of that sweet Eastern Conference.

The lockout days feel like an eternity ago. Imagine if they had cancelled the season again. Where would we be as hockey fans? How awful would this thread read?

I agree that it did feel like the season dragged on forever. The Cup should be handed out in a month where there is snow on the ground in Canadian and Snow Belt USA cities, like April. Shortening the regular season to 60 games would do it - hell, even 72 games would lob about 3 weeks off the calendar. Pushing back the start of the campaign would also help. If they started the regular season in September, the season could end in February, and playoffs could wrap up by the end of April. That would also assure that the Finals would not have to go up against the NBA Playoffs on TV.

Although I see where you're getting of wrapping up the season early, the entire March and April sports TV environments are totally dominated by the NCAA Tournament and The Masters, so you're going up against that for the vast majority of the playoffs in that scenario, plus the NBA Playoffs still for the Finals

Welp. Hockey is always going to be #4 of the big four down south, aside from a couple of markets (unless MLS bumps it down further, or we get an ice age). It's the best I could come up with. THAT'S WHY WE NEED TEAMS IN NORTHERN MARKETS, where they actually care about this sport more than boringball baseball, basketball and football.

I warmed up to it, but it's basically on OHHHHH WRITTEN INN THE STAAAAARRRRRSSSSSS level of being entrenched in my head annoyingly. At least March Madness was short enough so Muse's "Madness" didn't become the same*

*OHHHH WRITTEN INN THE STAAAARRRRRSSSSS was heavily promoted for the MLB Playoffs... in July, hence why even though it was just October it became worse. It didn't help TBS made it the actual theme song to go along with the 456 advertisements.

EDIT: Oh, and don't let me tell you the look on my face when I watched a Sky Sports EPL stream one time and low and behold OHHHHH WRITTEN INN THE STAAAARRRRRSSSS is playing every 2 seconds when it's not during gameplay

Why the hell are we complaining about Tinie Tempah and the 2011 playoff song when the previous season's song was from freakin' Kid Rock? Lets get our priorities in order here. The song was overused (the MLB starts promoting the playoffs in July on a yearly basis now), but frankly I thought Written in the Stars was outstanding.

I like CBC's use of Gimme Shelter by the Stones for their "one shining moment" package better.

CBC always picks the best music for all their packages. They started doing the montage with one song in 2003 I believe.

Also. Patrice Bergeron went right back to the hospital after Game 6, he has a small hole in his lung.

Since this sort of pertains to the Blackhawks, to the Chicago peeps; where is the best place to park in downtown Chicago that wont cost an arm or a leg?

Parade route is still in the works, but the rally will be in the softball fields in the south end of Grant Park, as opposed to the Petrillo Bandshell where the Bulls held their rallies.

Let's hope Chicago's organizers can actually plan a parade route and take into account those low-lying bridges. Unlike in Miami...

Wow can you imagine the headlines if LeBron was decapitaed as the dozens of fans along the parade route screamed in horror.

A CTA Park-n-Ride away from downtown and an "L" ticket.

the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall

There would be no change in the amount of people still be watching the WNBA scoreboard
