From the tweet, the Lakers are probably just turning their white alt home jersey into a sleeved jersey. Those throwbacks will not make any sort of comeback.

I would also expect their L-secondary logo to appear on the sleeve. Like the Suns did their PHX logo on their sleeved alt.

Not really, considering how open they're being about how this sleeved jersey thing is a money-making ploy.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Apparently, adidas has mocked short sleeved jerseys for all 10 teams playing on Christmas Day. The other 8 teams playing on Christmas Day besides the Warriors and Lakers are the Nets, Bulls, Rockets, Clippers, Heat, Knicks, Thunder, and Spurs. There's also supposed to be as many as 2 teams besides the Warriors, Suns, and Lakers to wear short sleeved jerseys this year. I'm assuming those 2 will come from the aforementioned pool of 8. My best guess at the final 2 is the Knicks and Rockets.

^ Good read, 10 years for a logo refresh and 5 for a uniform change is reasonable.

I think they erred on describing neck styles.

The regular v-neck is a'la Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs, Pelicans, Thunder, Wizards.

The bracketed v-neck is more Timberwolves, Kings, Magic, Clippers, Pacers, Bucks, Sixers. The Bucks/Pacers sort of have the adidas wishbone but not like the Lakers or Heat.

The crew neck is Bulls, Celtics, Blazers, Cavaliers, Knicks.

The wishbone is what Nike introduced in 1999: Lakers, Raptors, Mavericks, Heat.

You forgot Nets under regular V-neck

It finally happened.

The Lakers will also be adding a black jersey to their uniform rotation next season, according to a league source. The alternative uniform will be part of the league's city pride series, joining the Detroit Pistons' upcoming "Motor City" uniforms and the Portland Trail Blazers' "Rip City" set, but unlike the others, it will still say "Lakers" across the chest. The lettering and numerals will appear in purple with gold outlines and the rest of the jersey material will be primarily black, with some gold accents, the source said. It will not have sleeves, the source added.

"We're wearing black jerseys with 'Lakers' on the chest to honor our city... because there are lots of blacks in LA, or something."

Meaningless and gimmicky. The Rip City and Motor City; NOLA Mardi Gras make somewhat of sense because they actually don a city/team nickname or are themed accordingly. Truly BFBS. What's black got to do with LA? No racial jokes. Is it strictly honoring Kobe Bryant, the black mamba? Looks horrible just from the photoshop. Lakers were never meant to wear black.

What if they came up with an LA monogram.. or..

City of Angels (would be weird). Lalaland (not). Hollywood. Tinseltown. The Lake Show. Showtime. Black Mambas. Illumina-- nevermind.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.
