Midway
I remember hearing that Illinois is getting a rebrand from Nike, similar to what Oregon State had last year.I too am curious about any rumblings on this. They've pushed this one through to be ready for next season if I'm not mistaken.

I haven't heard any additional info though. http://illinois.247sports.com/Board/12/Friday-afternoon-thoughts-24032531"Hearing that there might be a 'snag' or two in regard to the Fighting Illini having new uniforms next year for football. I am sure some smart East Central Illinois media type will check into that....LOL...don't hold your breath."
LETSGOBLUEBEATMSU
I'm hoping it's what Willini or what ever his name is made.... I loved his Idea for Illinois and Illinois actually made prototypes of it so you never know they were sweet though.

Seems like "The Illini are gonna get new jerseys next year" has been circling the drain for way too long. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. FiddySicks
Arizona State will be making some changes, but the extent of the changes has yet to be fully unveiled. They will be switching to these helmets full time, which were worn in some games last year. Big pitchfork on one side, numbers on the other side. They've worn the white and maroon ones, but not the gold or black ones yet. There's also a gold one with a maroon pitchfork, but I didn't get a picture of it. Lights Out
That would be a good move if the helmets looked more like this, IMO: POTD: 2/4/12 3/4/

MJWalker45
The pitchfork on both sides is a much better look. Now they'regoing the same way as Boise State. Such a letdown. I'm also beginning to think there's a lot of unspoken issues with Illinois and Nike if they delay their uniform changes another year. We were expecting new uniforms 2 seasons ago. RyanMcD29
So.. lots of uniform news to digest with SyracuseNavy uniforms aren't going anywhere, which is good, and the navy pants are back, which is good for the next set of news but I don't like when it's used for monochrome looks. There's going to be a return of an orange alternate (yay!) and also some new helmets, including a chrome helmet which should actually be one of the better ones with the shade of orange we use.Aaaannnddd then they hit us with the GFGS news. Now, if it weren't bad enough with Nike and other uniform suppliers pushing the grey like crazy, Syracuse for some stupid reason the past six or so years has been using dark grey and silver a lot on the academic side. It's carried over a bit in sports with the numbers in basketball since 2007, that Nike Platinum "hey.. doesn't Georgetown wear that color?" nonsense in 2012, and the "let's wear very close to Princeton's colors in lacrosse... against Princeton!" debacle from last spring. So, blame my alma mater for the GFGS push that's going around considering they've been doing this quite a bit on both the athletic and academic side for a while? (if you want further proof, just look at our website)So, depending on the design we should have some pretty good combos. I just hope the shipment of all-grey everything catches on fire in some warehouse that only takes out those packages and doesn't do any other damage to the facility and hurts nobody. They wanted to rebrand all sports at the same time. I think they also delayed the start of the the design process, which may be why there some issues this late. I wish the athletic department would've just appointed wILL-INI as the sole athletic department employee to work with Nike on the rebrand. He basically had it figured out by himself before the process started.
FiddySicks
That would be a good move if the helmets looked more like this, IMO:I agree the forks should be on both sides, but I don't like the way you did it. The placement of the fork on the helmet is WAY too low and cuts off the back end of the fork. If they just added a pitchfork to the other side of what they're set to use it'd be great. I still don't mind having the fork on one side and the number on the other, but I can understand why some wouldn't like it. I also don't like how the face masks are the same color as the helmet on the white and especially the gold. A gold face mask on a gold helmet never looks good IMO. Other than that though, not bad, On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) And why not rotate clockwise so they are poking straight ahead? Could connect at the back too. Just an idea. Design Hovie Studios
