I'd like these a lot more than I do if they ditched the gold outline. Seriously, why did they adopt gold as an accent color?

As best as I can remember, Oregon State rebranded right around the same time, as Michigan State, or shortly thereafter, a few years back, and at the time Nike was on some kind of weird bronze kick. They added it to Michigan State's identity and later to Oregon State's (although I believe Michigan State has since stopped using the bronze.)

On it's own, black, orange (at least their particular shade), and bronze/gold can look good together (see Giants, San Francisco). It just hasn't worked for Oregon State for whatever reason.

(Side note: I'm curious as to how Oregon State's particular shade of orange would pair with the Cleveland Browns' seal brown, or a richer shade thereof.)

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Mizzou in gold/gold/gold against UGA looks surprisingly decent to me.  Looks like a team of Bumblebees (the transformer, not an actual bee).  It wouldnt stand the test of time but, for one game, I don't mind this.

I would give anything for them to wear this against us in the last game of the season where we traditionally wear all red. That would be glorious.

I grew up a Mizzou fan and was very very anti-taking the M off the helmet. That said, I love this identity for Mizzou. The inconsistency week to week and all. Loving the all Gold, surprisingly.

So what did you think of Mizzou going from the old gold of the 2000's to the athletic gold of today? I miss watching the old gold and black against crimson and cream every year.

Kent State broke out the blue bolt helmet today with a white mask.  The bad part,  helmet n7mber on the right side and doesn't match the jersey font.

Worst part was 1st and goal on the 8 and they ended up punting.

Well when I first became a Mizzou fan, they were already in their Brad Smith piping nike uniforms that had old gold on the helmet and athletic gold on the jersey. Didn't really bother me. But I see where you are coming from! I think this gold looks nice but I understand the love for real gold opposed to yellow

I’m shocked people like this Missouri look. I think it looks absolutely atrocious. It’s one of the most tacky looking sets I can remember. And the way that logo translates in the reverse colors is REALLY bad.

No announcement yet, but I think Arizona will be going blue/white/white. I've seen pics on IG this week of some players in the locker room with blue helmets here & there.

They’re going all-white:
