U.S. Soccer will wear "Independence Day" numbers for the friendly tomorrow. If anyone should be allowed to pull this off, I think the National Team qualifies. I probably would have liked it better if it had a smaller application with smaller stars and more stripes.

I'd be happier if these were worn in Vancouver on July 5th.

Same here, really hoping they wear some colors instead of the white and black with volt combo.

Eh, that's tacky as hell and won't help the readability problem that kit already suffers from. You can show your colors without being so MURICA about it.

(Funny that this is the exact opposite problem of the USWNT black and volt, though!)

How is the Football League still forcing that terrible 90s cyber-everything font on its teams?!

It's better than Real Madrid's new number font.

I really like Mainz' away kit.

Here's Köln home, glad they stick with white now:

Just today I read that Köln would be having a "Heimattrikot" instead of a "Heimtrikot" this year with the Kölner Dom put somewhere on their home kit. Now I saw this and kept looking for it and let's say ... it's subtle. Third line from the bottom.

Nevertheless, so far I am liking most of what I am seeing for the Bundesliga this year. Good job.

Only on the back. Still absurdly jingoistic.

I'm ok with it as a one-off since that's what America does: show off our flag any chance we get. But the fact that they're only on the back of the jersey and not the front or the shorts is pretty dumb.

With the shorts and front of the shirt it would look like a blob.

I always liked Montpelliers kit style of navy shirts and orange shorts. I just hope they'll get something other than nike teamwear anytime soon. This isn't the baddest design though.

I was fine with the U.S. numbers this evening. Decent for a one-off. I agree about what was said earlier about the front and shorts numbers...if they used the pattern there, too, that application is way too small and would look poorly. They executed it the best way possible.
