I mentioned some home fans only getting to see their 2nd or 3rd color 2-3 months into the season. White and black jersey dominated 70% of the time. 

which is ridiculous because the live audience represents a very small percentage of people viewing a game. its not like new yorkers can only see the navy uniforms if they're in the arena.

I’m very glad this matchup didn’t happen, that wolves green jersey is the worst color jersey in the league. I don’t mind a green jersey for Minnesota, just not such an ugly shade. Especially against Charlottes BFBS unis

I don’t MIND the electric lime green color, but it just doesn’t work with the Wolves identity at all ... especially on their home court which is heavily navy blue.

Which is strange because the white Vice jerseys were worn on the road last season.  But that fits the numbers.

This is why I hated the NBA money grab. It feels like some teams don't have an identity. Now , with free agency, we really do root for the laundry. Gonna need a lot of quarters if you're an BA fan. When the Lakers played the Celtics in Boston and were wearing their yellow uniforms and the Celtics were in green, I knew we doomed. I feel bad for some teams that may not have established an identity over the tears ala the Thunder(most seem to like their alternates) but they could be gone at any time. The names for the jerseys are just plain STUPID Association,Icon,City,Throwback(got me there), Earned, Monday,Tuesday if it's under 70 degrees out,December(every teams has green and red uniforms. What a joke. Feel bad for ya OKC, could've had some nice HOME and ROADS.

I don’t get the hate on the new uniform system. For all I know lakers wearing yellow vs Celtics wearing green is fire. This is the new generation nba. Let them have some fun. I love the idea of being able to question “I wonder what jerseys my team will wear today? I hope they wear the _____ jerseys”. I would get tired of seeing the same jerseys every home and road game. And as for the obsession of white jerseys at home I don’t get that either. I love my fair share of white jersey home games but honestly I don’t understand why the away team is supposedly the ones to show off their main colors while the home team wear white jerseys which generally always don’t show the team colors as much. Shouldn’t the home team be the ones showing off their main colors? Especially if they have a nice matching court?

 

i don’t see any teams actually “lose their identity” over the new Nike jerseys. Maybe besides the Jazz but in reality they only have two jerseys that aren’t their main identity (yellow city and purple throwbacks which are part of their past identity). Other teams usually only have one jersey that don’t match their identity and that’s just fine. Sometimes you gotta spice things up especially if your team has boring main colors. I’ve never seen any sports league that has much creativity in their jerseys and designing like the nba and we should enjoy that.

As a Pistons fan (a few of us still exist), I've seen black and gray jerseys more than times than I can count this season. Without looking it up on Lockervision, I think the classic road royal blues were only used like 3 or 4 times between Christmas and St. Patrick's Day.

 

I understand in this new Nike era, there's going to be more alternates and "out there" stuff, but I wish it could be scaled back and not overwhelm the classic/established brands.

I'm thoroughly impressed that they've kept it under wraps this long, being that we live in the the era of leaked info, but the Warriors are wearing throwbacks in nod to the 2002-2010 set at home tonight.

Watching the current Warriors wear jerseys that were synonymous with scrappy& mostly plain crappy Warriors team is really weird. Especially considering that they are throwing back to less than 10 years ago, Steph actually wore this style. 

 

Really want to know what the process was for this. There’s been 0 leaks, the Warriors have a different ‘classic edition’ and they’re not even going to profit off them!

Takes me back to when they beat top-seeded Dallas and then Baron Davis dunked all over Utah in the next round. The Warriors’ current look is a better overall brand, but I wish they never went away from this look.

You mean top-seeded as in the higher seed in the matchup? Because Utah wasn’t the top seed that year; they haven’t been top seed in the West since 1997-98.

 

Anyways, that’s quite the nostalgia trip watching those Warriors sets. I actually think they translate really well to the nike cut and I’m pleasantly surprised that they still look pretty good to me overall. Also pretty glad to see that if a team really wants to, they can apparently have an extra throwback/classic edition/whatever even if for just one game and a special occasion.

I remember the first time I was ever legitimately excited to watch the Warriors. I was (I think) a sophomore in high school and Baron Davis was a recent addition. These were the uniforms they wore then. I very much appreciate them pulling these out for the final regular season game at Oracle. That team was so much fun.

I hate the Warriors, but damn that’s such a cool move on their part. I’m amazed that they were able to keep it under wraps, apparently even from the players until shortly before tip. And credit to the NBA, because I’m sure they had to give the Dubs special permission to wear these. Just a really awesome move all around.

Am I the only person who thinks these are better than their current set? Sure they may look a little dated, but they're still gorgeous.

 

 

Edit: Also, it's cool to think about the fact that Steph began his career 10 years ago wearing this jersey and it all came full circle on Sunday night. If you would have told me in 2009 how much success the Warriors were going to have in this decade, I would have called you insane.

That word mark is really good, and the color pallet is/was underrated. The numbers suck. If they That word mark is better than what they have now imo

The home had too many outlines. The navy Away was way better

 

I do wish the Warriors included some International Orange in their upcoming set, though I don’t think they’ll change from the Bay Bridge  to the Golden Gate Bridge
