Damnit Color Rush. I don't think the introduction of Color Rush would've made it possible. I look at it with the trend that some of the team redesigns were going (Browns, Jags 1st, Tampa) bad alternates would've be saddled with clubs as redesigns continued. Brave-Bird 08 Posted October 8, 2019 Share Posted October 8, 2019 No, Color Rush had a huge part of it. Before, teams were restricted to three jerseys. But, since the league introduced the alternates, they loostened the rules to allow them to wear the uniforms at their preference any game, any time. The white socks, white shoes that were forced into the league when teams were going all-white during the program (because the color on color bounced back in their face) came from that and are now a trend. Wow, how did they screw that up? If the Steelers keep the black facemask, then it would be the 1979 Divisional game. So yeah, there is no reason for this matchup to not happen. The beautiful thing about “people” is that there are billions of individual ones who all have different preferences and opinions, so it would be more accurate to say *some* people like them. I’m not one of them. It’s a decent uniform, but if I had to guess, I would bet the reason most of those people like them is because they can’t stand the color crisis of the normal uniforms; a “good when compared to the alternative” scenario.
