Anybody who defended the ads saying it was a temporary thing should be embarrassed about themselves

Ha this might be a slight over reaction, but i appreciate the passion.

I'll be honest... I don't like the helmet ads. I want zero part of ads anywhere else on these uniforms. But I honestly don't even notice them when I am watching a game. They have effected my enjoyment of the NHL 0%.

The fake digitally placed ads on the ice and plexiglass bother me more, but yea also stinks about the helmets.

Defending corporations shoving ads down your throat in any capacity is absolutely something to be embarrassed about

There was no uproar after like a week once the nike ads on the jersey were announced lol. The Yankees completely ruined the most iconic uniform in baseball, maybe even in sports, and there was zero pushback. People fawn over the Brewers and Padres redesigns and roll their eyes if you bring up the fact that there's a huge clashing advertisement right up front. Jersey sales sure as hell didn't dip. People on here complaining and some reddit threads from 2 years ago don't equate to any relevant opposition to MLB ruining their uniform aesthetics. The vast majority of MLB fans probably didn't even notice the addition

Yeah I watched part of a game with the Sharks in their RRs...the gray and teal just seemed too dark and seemed hard to read. I think they darkened the teal in 2007, and used the current shade on these...but they should have used the brighter 90s teal.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Seriously. Anyone who is surprised that this isn’t going to be just a “one year experiment” really should take a look at that ocean front listing I’m offering up for sale in Montana.

True, they darkened the teal twice if I'm not mistaken. The OG teal was a little too light and blue-ish imo but the second shade of teal they used from the late 90s to just before the awful Edge redesign was perfect. The new teal is a little too dark and green-ish

What if the ownership and Lou were all on the same page on that issue...I'd think if Malkin and Ledecky really wanted to bring the fisherman back it'd be done.  Since it wasn't, I'm going to figure they didn't want it.

Lou is there for one reason only, to win a Cup. I remember when he was running the Devils, he always said the Devils jerseys are staying the same. He fought for a while before he gave in to the Heritage uniform and stadium series. So, I agree with you tp49, if Malkin and Ledecky wanted to bring back the Fisherman for RR, they would have.

Thanks!  Saw their highlights last night and the red helmet looked so jarring to me.

The color popped more when they wore them on the road in Minny. The arena/lighting/presentation really helped.
