Why are some of the logos in front of the text and others behind? Is that just an error in the preview image(s) or is it actually going to be inconsistent?

New Era separated elements of the logos and put some elements behind and

some in front. The Raiders logo is fully in front because the team doesn’t allow it to be manipulated at all.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Cowboys and Raiders have slightly different rules than other teams when it comes to how their branding is displayed. You can thank Al Davis and Jerry Jones for that. Cowboys actually have their own separate marketing and distribution for their merchandise even, which goes back to the early 2000s.

For real? So now I finally know why my Raiders snapback has fully exposed logo instead of partially overlap by wordmark like other teams in same style. Thanks for that knowledge!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that even if the whole league got contract with nike Cowboys might change supplier to any other brand due to their deal with league.

If Carolina is in fact switching uniforms, they will have NEVER worn a colored jersey with the current uniform set against the Texans, who they host this season. I really hope that game is scheduled in November or December so that Carolina wears black (assuming that is still the default home jersey color).

I hope Houston at Carolina does get schedule in December or November.

Are the Panthers getting new uniforms? Or is it just rumor/speculation?

I think on paper, at least, that’s correct. Not sure how easy the logistics on that would be, as I’d imagine Nike would do all they could to make that more difficult. Just a hunch in that part, though.

I know if you look at the merchandise tags (both the temporary ones and the ones sewed to the garment itself) on Cowboys merchandise, it’s different from all of the other teams. Much less NFL, much more Dallas Cowboys, in most cases.

I like the idea of the Cardinals adopting a sandy gray into their color scheme, but only if they do so tastefully. I'd prefer they lean more traditional, but I wouldn't mind moving forward to something more modern as long as it isn't gimmicky or overly complicated, but I don't think Nike is capable of creating completely new looks without going way off the deep end anymore. I especially don't trust Nike with either the Arizona flag or adding extra colors.

If it were me, I'd go with something like this, inspired by Andrew Lind's idea. Keep it simple, limit usage of sandy gray.

As long as the all white combo does not change, that is perfect. I prefer all white since 1988 because once they moved to Phoenix, that was a dun deal. But then the damn cardinal red pants came in 1990, imagine how sweaty the legs were wearing those at home in Phoenix?!!!

I agree that the Cardinals' lengthy history is something that hasn't been capitalized upon by the franchise.  But if we're talking about brand value, I'm not sure comparing it to the A's situation really works.

The A's can claim to be the best team in baseball during multiple eras in both Philadelphia and Oakland. There's a legacy there that's worthy of being maintained. Plus the name itself is probably the most language-agnostic moniker in all of sports.

The Cardinals have won two championships, both in Chicago, a city most people would surprised to know the team once resided. Their one recent Super Bowl notwithstanding, I can't really say age alone is enough to suggest a full rebrand isn't plausible.

The A's were in Kansas City from 1955 to 1968 as well if you have forgotten your MLB history.

Just speculation now since the Panthers jerseys are discounted on Fanatics like the Cardinals.

Re: Panthers, I’m firmly in the “careful what you wish for” camp when it comes to uniform changes. The only two fixes I feel the Panthers need are removing the TV numbers altogether and limiting the mix and match combos (no silver/blue/black kind of nonsense). They’re set after that. Mash the reset button too hard, however, and you could overcorrect everything much too far. I fear a Carolina rebrand has the potential to disregard proper restraint.

The Titans were just a few tweaks away from being fixed once upon a time too, and then they threw restraint out the window and overcorrected into a Shakespearean Festival nightmare. I’m really hoping Carolina doesn’t go that far, either.

I'm aware. But in the post you quoted, I said "the A's can claim to be the best team in baseball during multiple eras in both Philadelphia and Oakland."

They were a largely terrible team in KC and could not have claimed to be among baseball's best during those years.

Not speculation for either the Cards or the Panthers. Both are happening.

I need them to announce it ASAP. I’m getting antsy.

I would just venture to  that yellow is an accent color. I've seen yellow on many Cardinals gear than anything else

Breezing through their Nike tees & New Era caps on the Fanatics website, I was able to find ONE product that featured Yellow-Gold as a design element; everything else is Red & Black.  The only instances of using Yellow-Gold is in the beak of the Cardinal.

If this is an indicator of things to come, I'm not happy about it, as a Kansas City Chiefs fan, and I can't imagine Clark Hunt & Co. would be either.

This would be a foolish move by Arizona, and a confusing one if approved by the NFL.

Does Arizona use the same Red as Kansas City?  I always thought it was darker.
