CS85
Torn achilles for Rodgers. Donezo in 2023, maybe forever. Quote Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. Dynasty
It's close to certain that we'll never see Mahomes against Rodgers. Funny how things keep happening to prevent that matchup.

Holding is a rule and they didn't call it on the punt return or the last offensive play. If you're calling it loose because it's a playoff game, fine, but then you can't turn around and call a late hit penalty that was about 1 millisecond after he's out of bounds and consistently is never called for any other player at any other position.

FiddySicks
Yeah, that’s it for Rodgers. Young athletes have problems coming back from an injury like that. A dude who’s about to turn 40 isn’t going to be able to return from something like that. Brutal. ZapRowsdower8
I only just realized that there are two Monday night games for weeks 2 & 3. Why? Is this new for this season or have I just never noticed?

I'm guessing with the NY teams hosting SNF and MNF, they didn't want overlap and instead have the whole country watching the Jets game. But the contract probably covers an extra game and so they moved it back a weekend.
TBGKon
So what would New Orleans and Detroit do? Maybe even Minnesota and LA. Vegas and Arizona are retractable but have that tray system, but what about Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta?
Sec19Row53
Doesn't Dallas bring in grass for the World Cup? That answers that one. In the big picture, I think you require this for new stadia. For existing structures like New Orleans and Atlanta (specifically due to domes), is there a way to bring grass in for game day? I thought there had been issues with a tray system in the past that didn't make it any better. I agree that grass is better, and that it ought to be the requirement for any new stadium. This seems to be a future negotiating point that is starting to get played out in the public eye. Quote It's where I sit.
See Red
There are some stadiums around the world that use giant grow lights that they roll onto the field. That could be an option. Tottenham's new stadium has them integrated to where they don't even have to be rolled, which could maybe be standard in stadiums moving forward. I don’t know what would be involved in installing such a system in existing stadiums would be or if it's possible at all.

Reliant in Houston used to bring grass in on trays but those also presented their own issues. I know the Rogers Centre tried to have grass about 5 years ago but it wasn't plausible due to the concrete floor. I assume a few other indoor stadiums like the Superdome might face this issue. I think it would have to be weighed if the tray system is safer than turf. I agree every stadium should have grass, but growing up in the 2000's everyone always wanted to play on field turf. The real horror stories were from the astroturf days.
