njdevs7
Speaking of Shanny, how about the one preseason game he played as the captain of the Devils prior to retiring a few months later.OK WHAT?!!! Talk about a rare picture...1) He was only wore the C for one game (a pre-season game)2) He only wore #14 for a few games (I believe only pre-season games), before he wore #18 3) This is the only pic where I've ever seen Shanny have a visor

He signed with NJ half way through the 08/09 season. That makes this pic even rarer. He only played like 3 pre-season games that year. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. kw11333
I know this was probably posted a year ago, but Andrew Bynum never even actually played a game for the 76ers. Are there any other instances of players being introduced to the media (with a team), having a photo shoot and never playing with them?? Are there any other instances of players being introduced to the media (with a team), having a photo shoot and never playing with them??There's probably far more notable examples, but Ryan Madson with the Reds comes to mind. injured his arm before spring training games and had to have Tommy John surgery. Coast2CoastAM2006
In honour of the recent Hockey Hall of Fame class...wow good find., Think he only played like 5 or 6 games with ATL and then packed it in for good that year.In keeping with the theme, these still seems oddThis looks weird as well.[shanapic]He only wore these uniforms for 45 games during the lockout shortened 94-95 season. For the longest I associated him with either the Blues or Whalers, probably more so the Whalers. When he went to the wings, him in a wings jersey looked odd. Now he looks odd in any other jersey but the wings. Quote Spoilers!

OnWis97
Not the half-dozen Pro Bowls and fathering a future first-rounder?He also went to (and apparently graduated from) Brown and according to Wikipedia, currently works as a Civil Engineer. But let's not overlook the most impressive part; BBVT saw the name of a good, but not particularly famous, tight end who's career ended 19 years ago and remember that clip with Mr. Perfect. Wow.(OT: Mr. Perfect is from my hometown of Robbinsdale, MN (pop around 14000), which probably has produced more pro wrestlers per capita than any city on earth. It's wikipedia page lists 11 and I swear one of the two Road Warriors is from there too.)
