dennisbergan
I believe the Pats are supposed to introduce a red version of the current jersey. Not a throw-em-back. If the Titans, for example, wear a throw-em-back next year, then the alt navy jersey will be shelved for a year. Only allowed to wear 3 different jersey's a year. With the Bucs wearing those orange things next year, it means yet another year without the pewter jersey alt, that Gru was so against. Would have been a good year, to break those out, with Gru being sent packing and a new administration coming in.The Jets throw-em-back is ridiculous. As someone said, they are JETS, not the Titans. And, they already wear a "throwback" uniform, with their regular threads.Maybe the Rams wear their "throwback" gold pants again next year, after shunning them this year. Cujo
The Patriots are (re)introducing throwbacks as their new thirds.Yessssssss!I actually don't dislike the silver like everyone here does, but that should be awesome. Great. My rant about red Pats jerseys aside, Pat the Patriot is really a terrible logo. Maybe if they gave him a Miami/San Fran-esque update. But it is for the AFL's 50th anniversary, so I'll let it slide I don't think I remember this, is it the whole British wore red so the Patriots shouldn't arguement? I kinda have that feeling too, but I love how those jerseys look (especially the striping going pretty much all the way around.) Maybe a blue version of this would be better to keep the Pats from wearing red. But Pat the Patriot needs at least a modernization before I would welcome it full-time to the helmet. All it really needs is the red facemask. I can't even find a photo of when they wore them. You mean like this?...

Captain Poncho
I'd love for Denver to swap their home and alternate jerseys, and make the orange their primary. It could even be all symbolic, what with the basically new coaching staff that's coming in. Plus, I think now the stigma is gone, since the team won both of their games in orange this year (and technically it's what they wore in their last win, period).Could not agree more.If I had my way as a lifelong Donks fan:? Orange over white for home afternoon games? Blue or orange pants on the road (Blue pants would necessitate a change to an orange side panel on the roadies, which I think would look great)? All-blues worn for night home games

Bouj
I'll have to find the article, but I believe the Tennessee Titans will roll out a Houston Oilers throwback either next year or 2010. Hopefully it will be worn v. the Texans. They are wearing the Oilers uniforms next season, and it would be totally classless to wear them against the Texans in my opinion....but of coarse we're talking about Bud Adams here, so they probably will. They SHOULD wear the Oilers throwbacks againnst the Bills, since that debacle was the straw that broke the camel's back for the Oilers' serious fan support in Houston. It went all downhill from there. The home playoff loss to the Chiefs the following season. Blowing out all the vets from that era. Bud finally being told to shove it by the civic leaders in Houston when he threatened to move the team if he didn't get a new stadium (after he pulled that years before to get the Astrodome renovated). Art Modell gets all the attention as the world-class greedy a-hole who took the Browns to Baltimore, but Bud Adams is no less of an ass for essentially doing the same thing AFTER getting the taxpayers to pay for stadium renovations which were useless to the stdium's primary tenant once the Oilers left. Sorry about that aside.Oh, and the AFL anniversary throwbacks thing was cited in some other thread and mentioned by Lukas at some other point (other than the mentioned Uni Watch post), so it's not a certainty, but it is the plan. Go Astros!Go Texans!Go Rockets!Go Javelinas!
TruColor
I'm still holding out hope that the Cowboys might finally take the opportunity to standardize their color palette (One Blue, one Silver (Silver-Blue)) with the move to the new stadium. As far as the AFL 50th Anniversary goes, I can certainly confirm this, although I'm not sure at this point to what extent the teams involved will participate. There are anniversary logos, and other assorted marks, but I don't have any knowledge about uniforms.

It's reflected in the Cowboys' play and personnel decision, so odds are good it will continue to be reflected in their NIFL-worthy uniforms. swisherHOU
The throwback uniforms are getting a little old. When they did it 1994 for the 75th anniversary of the league it was awesome because the NFL had never done anything like that before...this was way before alternates even, so seeing teams in different uniforms was great. Now, with teams like the Cowboys and Steelers wearing throwbacks every year, sometimes more than once, I can't even consider them throwbacks any more...they are just fancy alternates. LMU
ENOUGH of the THROW BACKS!!!! God, I know that the $ is the all mighty reason why we have so many throw backs in the NFL. BE ORIGINAL for once! If your team only has two colors or cannot support an alt, guess what! You ain't going to have an ALT. Quick Rant:Cowboys... stop that (you don't have an history of winning in those throw backs)Jets.... stop that (YOU ARE THE JETS not the Titans)Titans... don't think about ( YOU ARE THE TITANS not the Oilers)Steelers .... stop that (Yellow helmets with the white though odd doesn't scream STEELERS)Vikings .... MAKE YOUR THROW BACKS your main and not alts (just because they are better)Patriots ... stop that (do you seriously want to go back to be known as those teams who won like 5 games at the most, yes you made it to the Super Bowl once wearing those but you won 3 and 1/2 Super Bowls in the ones you have now)Lions... stop t(okay i like them, sort of an old school Lions) Browns... stop that well I can't tell you are wearing an alt throw back anywaysMy solution for those teams. Do what the NY teams have done. Modernize their throw backs. Easy and quick...enough of the rant...I wholeheartedly agree. If you want throwbacks so damn bad, switch back or modernize them. And any team playing them in that game, too. Other than that, anniversary years should be the only other occurance for throwbacks being worn. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

Can't wait to see the bobble-heads of him they give out. We all have our little faults. Mine's in California.
