Miami will be back, but as of right now Lebron better be braced for all the :censored: he's about to get.

Cuban better give Stern a Bizzard.

Mark Cuban wouldn't know how to manage a Dairy Queen. Congrats to the Mavs on an NBA title though!

Congrats to the Mavs. Like Cuban said, this team had the label of playoff chokers for years...well, they sure shook that off, didn't they? The way they made comebacks throughout the playoffs was absolutely unbelievable, the way Dirk elevated his game was outfreakinstanding, and the Mavs were finally able to put a great playoff run together and bring the Larry home. Worthy champions, and Mark Cuban being awarded the Larry O'Brien trophy (although he was pretty classy in letting Carter get the trophy first) is probably killing David Stern inside. Congrats to the Mavs & their fans on here!

That being said....I REALLY hope people aren't completely writing the Heat off yet. IMO, if there was any year when they wouldn't get the trophy, it'd be this year since this would be their first year coming together as a unit. Hell, the fact that they got to the Finals shocked me since I thought the Bulls would take them in the ECF. But yeah, the Heat WILL be back, and soon. Those 3 didn't sign 1-year deals. :P

Overall, this was one of the most exciting NBA playoffs I've seen since probably 2004, & maybe the heyday of the 90s. (Can't speak for the 80s since I was only born in '88, lol.) I can't wait for nex-Oh.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

What an incredible feeling. Miami's loss is everyone else's victory. Loving it.

The Heat quit at the end. Yeah, they were down by 9 with over a minute left, but they didn't foul, didn't double team, no sense of urgency. Do something. The Mavericks were able to milk 22+ seconds off the clock on two late possessions.

I'm glad the Mavericks won, for Dirk, Kidd, everyone. On the otherside, I don't want to see LeBron go down in flames, which might have happened, unfortunately.
