These UCF helmets along with Connecticut's new design has me thinking. It seems these are following the form and shape of the Speed helmet to incorporate the design. Is this unprecedented?

The only helmet that comes to mind doing this was Ohio State's Rivalry helmet from a couple years ago.

As I mentioned a page back, I like the idea. Using the contours/shape of the helmet to apply a design is interesting, and looks good if done right.

Holy moly, how did this one get by me? I'm a huge buckeyes fan.

You mean to tell me that you're a huge Buckeyes fan that somehow missed their 2011 Pro Combat uniforms? How is that even possible?

Why you make fun of me? I make concept for Auburn champions and you make fun of me. I cry tears.

Maybe it's because he has a life and does other things.

hopefully they'll do something about those pink seats

The shceduled upgrades this off season are the turf and the pink seats. So, yeah, they're working on it.

Sorry to disappoint.

I didn't miss the PC uniforms. I missed the utilization of the Speed helmet for the design elements. But thanks.

So UCF is still keeping their white helmet, correct? I'm assuming so since it's in the background and all but just wanted to double check.

Yea, the white helmet will still be the primary. The black will be an alternate.

Also, the matte/glossy gold helmet is just showing the design. The actual helmet will be glossy all around.

Left shows the design, right shows the actual colors that will be used, per http://ucf.rivals.co...asp?CID=1503671

IMHO, they should have the state of Florida on the Alternates like they did when I played there.

I'm assuming you mean one of these helmets?

based on what UCF has said, this is what the final helmet should look like

ucfp.jpg

I thought It was gonna be the design with the gold on top but in the colors of the other shell?

could be. its kind of confusing. i don't know what they were doing with those things. i guess it could be they were presented with 2 different designs/colors and UCF wanted to combine the two. the other stripe with these colors
