I really dont see the love for the brown and yellow, sure its unique for a uniform, but I can definitely see why the team went to navy, brown and yellow is just an ugly color combo. I really dont see more people going out and buying brown and yellow merchandise over navy stuff

I agree man, brown and yellow = flush it.........some red in there too ? = Go easy with the TP

At least there's some intrinsic character in a set that uses colors as unique as brown and yellow (or even orange), as opposed to the soulless / directionless sets they've worn in recent years. Even the navy and orange set had a little personality, until they diluted it all at the end with all of the alts and variations.

Pittsburgh Pirates are once again, wearing Sunday "throwbacks" this season. Unfortunately, Majestic is MLB's uniform supplier and there's no middle ground and no such thing as well fitting baseball uniform. The jersey is too baggy, the sleeves are too long. The pants are too baggy and too short and the inclusion of fake stirrups is nothing short of criminal. Majestic seems intent on destroying anything from the Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform. I will always give the Pirates franchise credit for being the first baseball team to wear athletic wear, but this isn't good.

Cripes almighty. He looks like a 6-year-old in his older brother's uniform.

Someone with inside knowledge posted a few years ago that, for whatever reason, Majestic manufactures their pullovers as one size up from their button-ups. So, if a player normally wears a 48, when it's throwback day, they're pulling on a jersey that fits like a 52. The end result is, well, you can see it above.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

I still think the 2004 redesign had all the elements in place for a terrific uniform, they just made a few mistakes. Very few people are with me on this, but I'm sticking to it.

If the "PADRES" lettering were a little taller, I'd get on board with those 1969 uniforms. I'd still rather just fine-tune the 2004s.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

I've found what appears to be the 2014 World Series logo, in the video game MLB 14: The Show. (I don't actually own the game, I'm going by a YouTube video of the Blue Jays' victory celebration.)

For those of you unable or unwilling to open the video... I'm saddened to report that the logo appears to be exactly the same as last year's, just with the year removed. This is a distressing development, as MLB was the last holdout of the Big 4, in terms of making a unique logo for its championship every season.

This was the case in MLB 13: The Show for a few months after its release date. At launch, it came with the 2012 World Series logo but was updated a few months later with the 2013 logo. So the first few months of MLB 14 would see the 2013 logo until an update comes out with the 2014 logo.

This was such a great look. Hands down my favorite for the Padres. Unique enough. Not gaudy (which is my feeling on brown/yellow).

Obviously, by now some things would have changed...the road pinstripes and probably the home word mark, but this color scheme is great, and works on the gray of a road jersey as well as just about any.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

And as they did last year, the Astros continue with their Bush League policy of wearing the BP jerseys during Sunday home games. I said it last year, I'll say it again: stop dressing like a minor league team, it's bad enough you played like for the last 3 years.

Just get a navy alt already if you want to wear blue so damn bad.

Go Astros!

Go Texans!

Go Rockets!

Go Javelinas!

My favorite Padres set of all time too. Brown and orange always worked better than the brown and yellow, IMO.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Stop trolling. Baseball players should wear baseball uniforms, not "athletic wear".

However, I will concede that he looks slightly more ridiculous than he would in a properly-fitted pullover with sansabelt pants.
