Brock Osweiler is NOT the future QB of the Denver Broncos.

So he wins a bunch of games and ends the mighty Patriots' undefeated season, then loses one game to a very decent team, and suddenly he's not the future?

He won against a bad Bears team, an injury-depleted Patriots team and a bad Chargers team. He didn't look good in any of those games IMO.

EDIT: Maybe I'm too quick to judge, but he just rubs me as a mediocre QB. We'll continue to see what happens, however.

Well yeah, of course he does. He's a fourth year backup out of Arizona State who has this tattooed on his arm

That's not exactly the model for the next Joe Montana. But he's still played well above expectations so far this season, and that Raiders defense is a smidge underrated IMO.

Osweiler would have been a hero had Vernon Davis not be a total wank and dropped that ball on 4th and 5.

Still in the boat of not having Peyton Manning start the rest of the year.

Nor is Peyton Manning.

Brock starts out 3-0, including a win over the undefeated Patriots, but suddenly he's a scrub because his o-line got destroyed by Khalil Mack and his receivers dropped about 73 passes.... Massive overreaction.

The Bengals entered this weekend's play as the #1 seed in the AFC. Their QB breaks his thumb on his throwing hand, likely season-ending. May get to return for the playoffs. And they lost to the Steelers today.

The sports world sure does like to screw with McCarthy.

This is true. I don't even let myself get close anymore because it doesn't matter. If Dalton is done for the year my dream of seeing a playoff win is probably over for another calendar year.

That's how sad it's gotten. I don't dream of a Super Bowl win because that's impossible. I dream of winning one damn playoff game.

He didn't end the Patriots undefeated streak. He merely played a role.

Patriots' injuries, stupid errors, & perhaps a bit of the weather, & the Broncos' D also played role.

Bengals Scenarios From Here (Listed in order of nightmarish hell on Earth to Welcoming with open arms):

- The Steelers squeak into the playoffs, draw the Bengals, win in a blowout while also killing Tyler Eifert. They celebrate over his dead body. The refs don't throw a flag. Steelers go on to win the Super Bowl because football is terrible. 2005 repeat all over again. There will be nefarious happenings in their super bowl win over the Panthers.

- Bengals lose out. The Steelers, Jets, and Chiefs win out. The Bengals miss the playoffs after starting 8-0.

- Back into division title. Limp through 60 minutes of lousy football in front of fans. Lose to a mediocre football team like the Texans. Again. Become first team in NFL history to lose in the wildcard round 4 years in a row AND 5 years in a row.

- Back into playoffs, lose division title to Pittsburgh, go on the road, limp through 60 minutes of lousy football. Become first team in NFL history to lose in the wildcard round 4 years in a row AND 5 years in a row.

- Andy Dalton's hand isn't as bad as they thought. He comes back in time to play for the playoffs, but it's a rush job, they lose the playoff game because of his stupid hand throwing a million interceptions. Calendar year of talking about if he had a good hand would he have been able to win the playoff game this time.

- Somehow they go 3-0 from here, get a bye, get to the divisional round for the first time since 1990 and get the grand prize of facing a healthy team coming off of a playoff win while they've been sitting for an extra week. Playoff winless streak extends to 26 years, but at least I'll get to see them in the second round.

- Bengals finally win a playoff game, but it's with AJ McCarron and then I'll have to deal with 5 months of a quarterback controversy that will sound like "but Dalton's 0-4 in the postseason. McCarron wins when it counts!!!!!!!".

- Andy Dalton's hand isn't as bad as they thought. He leads them to a playoff win or two. Things look optimistic heading into 2016.

- AJ McCarron Jeff Hostetlers this thing and I die in a blaze of booze and women and I'm rid of the curse of watching this awful sport ever again.

- Andy Dalton's hand isn't as bad as they thought. He leads them to the type of improbable Super Bowl run I've seen quarterbacked by the likes of Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Trent Dilfer, etc. I die in a blaze of booze and women and I'm rid of the curse of watching this awful sport ever again.

Football sucks and it always has.

Well, as a Patriots fan, I'm apparently not allowed to say that. Even if it's truth. Kinda like if Roger Goodell was judging.

Jesus, not even the Browns could manage that.

With Dalton likely out for the season and Denver looking weak on offense, it looks like the path to another New England Super Bowl has been paved away. The only team I see giving them a tough time is Pittsburgh, but there is still a chance they'd miss the playoffs.

My thoughts exactly. He made the plays when it mattered. The rest of the team just didn't follow suit.

DT drops a TD. (Settle for FG)

DT fumbles after gaining a first down.

Sanders muffs punt.

Khalil Mack.

Vernon Davis runs backwards (twice).

Khalil Mack.

DT drops ANOTHER pass.

Missed FG

Vernon Davis drops would-be first down on 4th & 5.

Khalil Mack.

3 man rush beats Broncos 6-man front.

Thats a lot to overcome for ANYBODY... let alone a kid in his 4th career start.

Tell me again how this is Brock's fault. Ill wait.....
